Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Also do tell if you see noticeable differences in encounters :)

Wait, hold up a sec:

I just forgot, they promised us a mod kit with this version right? I mean, I'm not expecting it on release, but it's still coming, right?

Just tell me... Have they finally fucking fixed the NPC portraits?

And location descriptions:
"You stand in neat courtyard with a statue, some construction is going on at one side of the house"

Actual "courtyard" has a campfire, some trash lying around and no construction site to be seen anywhere.
While no big issue, it was a bit immersion breaking at times.

Btw., my GOG account has not updated with the DC yet.
Won't be able to play for a few days anywhere, but I was hoping I could start the download already.

Are Bladed weapons any better now? I remember that there was literally no reason to pick them over blunt or unarmed.

Strange thing guys, I had the DC edition available immediately on GOG. Maybe check with the support?

Figured out the problem. For some reason if you change it in the main menu, it won't turn off but if you start a game and change it, it works.

Took a glance at the game's Steam Forum, apparently the Director's Cut uses a new, more zoomed in camera angle.

The camera style still sucks though, I actually find the new zoom level a bit more disorienting but YMMV.

I don't get it, you could control the zoom before and make it really close or really far. Is that no longer the case?

I *think* there's a slight change to the zoom pivot as well, when you zoom out it seems to more sharply devolve into top down perspective. I get a similar feeling from the Path of Exile camera angle because it seems like it's 'too steep'.

Apparently not, not sure why they would limit the camera like that. Maybe it's just a bug or maybe the conslols couldn't handle the old camera

Arms: 0.7x damage, reduces the enemy's Chance to Hit, chance of destroying their weapon and causing it to explode in a shower of shrapnel. Moderate Chance to Hit penalty.

I don't remember complaining about this before. Utterly terrible, will reload if any random attack destroys my modded weapons.

As usual, headshots are king (1.35x damage, +25% crit bonus, chance of rendering the enemy confused or psychotic, causing them to attack their friends or behave erratically.), though legs look pretty good too in certain circumstances (0.7x damage, reduces the enemy's Combat Speed, chance of knocking them down and reducing their Action Points).

Haven't played Wasteland 2 at all until know, so now I wish to try it out and be disappointed by the DC version of the game.

Only, this is supposed to be free for owners/backers of Wasteland 2, right? So how do I get my copy then? I didn't get any e-mails, my GOG library doesn't have it, and I can't find anything in their backer center. What am I missing?

This is what happens when you pick the "raised in a circus" perk. No, it's not mentioned anywhere.

Anyone knows how the Asshole quirk works? Do you still need to invest points on Hard ass to unlock extra dialogue options or you can just skip it cause the quirk will give all of those for free?

The new camera angle is shit. In a game where there is so much ranged combat it is paramount to actually see far. Instead when zooming out the angle gets closer and closer to vertical line. So you still see shit, but this time from a bigger distance!

:negative:

As for quirks: there are some that seem great - I have 4 warrior monks now (because +1 attribute +5 skillpoints with a con of no-trinkets rules). There are some that are obviously shit (eg. Psychopath - it takes 3 consecutive attacks to have a bonus that is bigger than starting malus). I expect 3-4 that will be used by 99% ranger and the rest for those who want to "larp" in a combat rpg.

As for perks: I don't feel swept of my feet, especially pistol perks are shit, turning pistols into even bigger shit choice that they were. Shotguns got interesting with their new cover removal skill. Wonder If they can remove concrete too :M

So difficulty is definitely been amped up. Having a good time on supreme jerk. Also ammo is pretty scarce. I'm already outta bullets, and I'm only at ag center.. and i've bought XTRA bullets... fuck !

Rememeber to take outdoorman.. I got like a random encounter every fucking second just moving on the map. That shit is cray.

I don't get, what wrong with zoom levels? They are fine. doesn't seem changed to me. you can zoom in and out.

What about the skill "perks".. nobody mentioned those?

How do I use them? Whenever you level up your skills, at certain levels, you gain some extra functionality.. kind of like D:OS combat. But my UI is not showing them.

Computer science shows "cyper scavenger" or whatever at lvl 3.. but where is it? what does it mean?

The camera is mroe zoomed in than it was. Zooming out has a steep change of angle. TL;DR: you cant properly zoom out to see a larger portion of map, probably because consoles.
