Codex 2014 Divinity: Original Sin Project: Eternity Torment: Tides of Numenera Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2
Edit: Just waited another 5 minutes for it to boot and played for literally 30 seconds before getting another CTD. Fuck it. I'm done. Refund time.

DX11 version of the game is fucked up, might be your problem if you have an AMD card. Try adding -force-d3d9 is steam's launch option, it fixes ctds most of the time, though you might occasionnally see some strange artifacts. Still hard to forgive for a "definitive edition" of a game, I agree.

Yea, same here. There are some stutter on some maps but no crashes and loading is much better than it was on the original release.

I'm trapped in Ranger HQ again.:D Cannot leave, game crashes every time I try to enter the world map. MOTHERFUCKER! With '-force-d3d9'.

I so want to love WL2 DC! I really liked Wasteland 2, despite all the bugs it had at launch. Broken quest lines and glitches and even random crashes, I can take. But getting booted out of the game every damn time at the same place is just... I mean, it's unplayable! I can't play, I want to play!

Just out of curiosity, what GPU do you have? I've read about that issue, but at least my AMD GPU doesn't seem to be affected.
So far the DC runs pretty good for me, with the exception of a memory leak that makes it necessary to restart after a couple of hours (depending on the maps).

PC RPG Website of the Year, 2015 Grab the Codex by the pussy Codex USB, 2014 Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 BattleTech Bubbles In Memoria
No crashes sofar and it remains playable(-ish). Had to turn off shadows to avoid an insane stutter problem on multiple maps (not just AG). And of course i cannot dismiss any of my current team since the dismissed one will vanish into thin air. Plus there seems to be a discrepancy between the text on some of the perks and the in game results. Clearing an entire mine field (20?) nets me 2 pipebombs, while i apparently have a 25% chance for each mine cleared. Yeah its possible but not plausible. And so on.

Some of these things are so obvious that one wonders what the hell the qa or test department did last year (if inxile has one of those departments that is). Still, entertaining sofar.

I have a Radeon HD 7870 and the game crashes each time I try to enter the inventory/charcater screens. I haven't encountered any other issue while running the game in DX9 (apart from pink trails left by the worms in AG center...), normal performance and loading times.

Interesting, I've got an HD 7850, which should be based on the same chip.

I play on a two years old laptop and the game works very well, got 0 crash.
Loading is not too long except when launching the game.

FWIW, dismissed NPCs won't be eradicated forever. According to sea, after the patch comes out, they should respawn wherever dismissed people go. So if you want to swap out a couple people now, your savegame won't be irrevocably ruined.

They should also still be available for transfer to California, according to what I read on the official forums.

Alright after dicking around I think I've resolved my issues (45 minutes played, no crashes, game's running like a dream) with the dumbest fix ever. For some reason WL2DC defaulted to running off my laptop's integrated graphics processor instead of the nVidia chip. I have no fucking idea why. I've never seen a game do that before, and I felt like a retard when I finally noticed it (although it was basically the easiest fix ever because of that).

So I guess you're off my shitlist InXile but that's still some high-level :retarded:.

I also noticed the memory leak.
Inxile seem to be taking the Obsidian mantle now that Obsidian has managed to employ a QA team.

You must not play many games than. I seen many games have this problem, for some not even easily fixed (they don't let you choose the card once you start the game).

Reinstalled the game. Which helped me solve this problem once before. Well, I've no idea how much it has with it, the first save I tried to continue was a bust, but another one worked so YAY! I'm outta Ranger HQ.

In recent memory it only happened with Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition. And it's easily fixed by just forcing at the Nvidia Panel.

For the record WL2 DC started with the discrete GPU by default here.

Apparently, the console version doesn't display enemy stats.
It's also p. annoying on PC that you need to find the enemy in the initiative list to see what debuffs they have, and since enemies share portraits you have to also keep an eye on the field to see who is being highlighted. And even then it only shows the icon.

If you say so. I've got over 200 Steam titles and 100 GOG titles and I have literally never seen this happen once.

Although the amount of AAA titles I play is probably around one a year, perhaps it's more common for multi-platform releases.

Weird.
