Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
LA gets reaaally repetitive. I did Rodia, Angel, bunch of small places and headed to Hollywood and it's more of the same shit. I QUITTED.

It's been clear from the get go you really don't like this game. Y U torture yourself so much?

I'm stuck because I have no idea how to trigger the rad suit upgrade in LA.

I've delivered the litter then I fucked around quite a bit, going to random distress calls etc. because i had already completed towns/quest while I was looking for litter. Then I've killed the scorpitron, thinking that was the trigger.

Still nothing is happening, radio dude won't call.

:x

You've probably missed the black crossmark for Whittier in the top right corner of the map. Go there first. Oh, and take off your armors first ;)

Can't survive that, tried a few times already (yeah with armors off). Seriously that can't be the only trigger? I've been told that scorpitron is a trigger as well but it won't work for me.

Yea I don't get why people are bitching.. Before the patch the Junk Tab was broken.. no Junk items went to that tab.. They just fixed that and now people are having a shit because "MAH GAMEZ R CHANGED!"
Yeah, I don't get it. Why are people are bitching? Because the game works as it should now? The Codex sometimes can reach new level of retardness, when they are bitching about a feature being fixed.

Am i the only one who made the most versatile group? I have all non-combat skills at 9 or 10. And i'm still able to rape all opposition.

The mannerites are awesome. Props to whoever wrote those because they crack me up.

Colin McComb wrote them

I still ponder if it is better to start playing the game now or wait until aimed shot and new CA faction will be patched in. Theoretically I am just betting everything on codex good will not to spoil everything for me while reading this thread.

The question is not whether you do or not but when.
Let's put it this way, i left no safe or container unopened, no dialogue check unchosen, no toaster unrepaired etc. It's totally possible to max every meaningful non-combat skill in this game.

Sure, if you're willing to do a lot of backtracking... Otherwise good luck doing the early 5+ safecracking/comp. sci/surgeon -skill-checks. Or the 7 kiss-ass skill checks...

Uh, only one of my characters has 10 Int. Others have it at 4. There's a skill book for every non-combat skill and there's a lot of those shrines that grant +1 skill point. Plus, i'm carrying trinkets for every occasion.

Allright, done and done. About the same time played as D:OS. This game is huge.

All in all a pretty fantastic playthrough. I had A LOT of fun. There were some glitches, especially in California, and a few annoyances, the trolling RNG being chief amongst them but nothing that would prevent the game from being an absolute blast. inXile exceeded all expectations in my book and I'm not worried about the new Torment anymore.
A great opportunity to use a great emote:

Hollywood's great. I get some huge FO2 vibes. I wonder if my squad can film some porn movie.

Huge game with lots of potential, can be genuinely fun, really does have the content diversity they boasted, factions and characters are interesting, LA is really enjoyable so far with all the radio chatter and sense of urgency, yet at it's current state of buggyness a lot of that potential is wasted. Hopefully the upcoming patches fix these things, for those who are not sure whether or not to wait on patches to get this, wait. Bugs range from minor things like wrong/nonsensical dialogue to large bugs that completely prevent you from completing parts of the game.(Prison, Rail Nomads are the biggest offenders for me.)

I give it leeway with bugs, because I love Fallout, and that game has been patched officially and then unofficially for over a decade after, and still can be buggy, but it's a damn good game. Hopefully Wasteland gets the polish it deserves.
So far, out of the 3 high profile kickstarter games I've played, this one is the best in the ways that count, it's a genuine RPG as opposed to an adventure/strategy game with RPG mechanics.

Damn straight cvv, I havent had this much old school fun since the release of the Grimoire Super Demo last year. I am enjoying the old school vibe through and through, even when some design decisión seem a bit oscure and confusing I have been having such a good time, savescuming and trying out new builds. I finaly settled on a group which has proven very versaitile and other than screwing up when picking heavy weapons instead of assault rifles (the jury is still out on the shotguns) but I simplu couldnt be happier. Hopefully by the time I get to California some of the bug issues there can be patched up
