Ziets? Mitsoda?

Hell nah.

We're going all out.

Prosper Stretch Goal

:yeah:

I really want a Bard's Tale IV.
I don't think he can make an actual Bards Tale IV, he doesn't own the IP. Just the trademark. And do you really want EA funding such a game? They own the IP. D:

That's the same situation as inXile had with Wasteland 2 tho, and EA was open to inXile using the content from WL1 (without any monetary remuneration, I might add). I think they'd be open to the same for a Bard's Tale IV.
As it seems you will blow 3M$ easily, make the game 2D. That consept art deserves it. You don't even need to hire the artists for that full time. Sent the rendered 3D at Obsidian and pay them to hand paint over them.

So inXile, you're gonna need more volunteers to work on all these games, right...? And you certainly have a pedigree of hiring from the community... :obviously:

It really does. 2D should be top priority for a stretch goal.

Yeah, make P:E style graphics a stretch goal if only to translate all the nice concept art well into the game.

With these amounts streaming in "painted 2D backgrounds" are starting to loom as an eventual stretch goal, yes.

I was just thinking that this would be an excellent time for GOG to put PS:T on sale.
I thought they were planning to, actually, so not sure what happened there. Maybe they still will.

I'm laughing already at the thought that some of their planned stretchgoals will be reached way before they even announce them.
