Looks pretty sexy.
One of the better overland adventure with interesting art and very good writing. I am not entirely sold on character progression yet, since almost everything feels like a minor sidegrade (almost everything feels like a level 1 starting item), though some of the consumables can really turn the odds in your favor. I've been playing machina arcana in parallel and it manages to create some great item progression without it feeling like a powercreep, though its much less memorable and varied/open.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is. Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
Playing Daggerfall Unity. So far, I am playing a goody-two-shoes paladin style character. Never tried DFU before. I'm having fun, but it is fetch quests galore.

On Nintendo 3DS, I am playing Devil Survivor 2. The original DS version, not the enhanced 3DS version. Just like the first game, I am having a lot of fun. I'd grab a third entry day one, if it was ever made. They messed up the release timing, which didn't give the game much chance to sell well in western regions.

Are you trying the "normal" game (that is, downloading DF and modding it yourself) or the GOG version?

Diablo 2 with Barb. I'm in act V and I'm really getting those bad early 00s linear expansion pack vibes. I'm getting showered with better loot and new mechanics, but it's all shit.

I'll write a proper review in the proper diablo thread when I'm done with normal, but I'm really scared about nightmare and hell being a terrible waste of time. My skills are basically done, my playstyle is set as far as I know from guides. Am I really going to shout buffs, stack frenzy and double swing for another 50 hours or whatever?

It's the same shit over gain but with higher numbers and more fx on screen that kill shit.
Not worth your time imo, dump it and go straight to NOX!

I have played NOX with a warrior, and accidentally deleted my saves 2/3 of the way through. 4/5 of the way, perhaps. Made me very sad, since the game was fun. Not as great as I hoped it would be, but it was fun.

No, when I finally ditch Diablo I'm going back to Divine Divinity. Or something else I have not played yet, like the Ultima titles.

On the internet, writing shit posts.
Playing Wasteland Remastered. I could never get into classic because the UI is absolutely atrocious, but its playable in Remastered. One of the few cases where a Remastered isn't just a cash grab, really.
Which is great because I've been wanting to play the Wasteland for a long time.
Its...ok. I don't think it holds up as well as Fallout, but it is still worth playing as it is a classic CRPG and you can see where a lot of Fallout's ideas came from. Its good enough at least to keep my attention and want to finish the game. If only my character builds don't suck :negative:

Gameplay wise I think I prefer Wasteland 2 though. Those constant random encounters is a pain in the arse, especially in Las Vegas sewers.

Whirlwind is the most fun way to play the Barb. Combined with Leap Attack for Annoying Little Buggers.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla. 147 hours in. Hopefully, I'm nearing the end.

The game has some things going for it: combat that actually develops with new skills, talents, and perks. World events without journal notes or quest compass, sometimes you have to figure them out and its fun. Lots of navigational puzzles. And of course, it's freaking beautiful. The engine that powers it can conjure an immense world of crazy level of detail - without loading screens.

But the gameplay is repetitive (despite different mechanisms introduced by DLCs) and the dull story does not help to endure it. Nevertheless, I keep soldiering on. Perhaps it's just a sunken cost fallacy at this point, but I keep saying to myself there are just not enough historical (or quasi-historical) RPGs out there, so I must suck each one dry!

Played through Fallout New Vegas. Was working with House until he asked to eradicate the Brotherhood, then I switched to Yes Man. Old World Blues DLC was horrible, but it's an awesome game aside from that. Haven't played it for several years, so it felt pretty fresh. Attempted another playthrough straight away, working for the NCR, but burned out on it midway through. I might return to it before the year's out, though.

Started Fallout 2 because I wanted more Fallout and I've only finished the second game once before, about 5 years ago. Forgotten most details after the Den. I'm in Klamath now.

Also have an Ocarina of Time save from earlier this year when I got bored in the Shadow Temple, which I'm now itching to return to.

How is the soundtrack? I am tempted to play it for the sole reason Jesper Kyd worked on it.

It's pretty good, fits the era instrumentally and in terms of style. Best songs come your longship crew - whenever you are sailing you can order your guys either to sing some epic tune or to tell stories of their adventures and deeds. Of course after so long it feels a bit repetitive, but I still enjoy it and sometimes prolongue the sailing in order to listen to them until the very end.

It's very historical, just like the niggers and "shieldmaidens".

I said quasi-historical.

I'm also irritated by the current-day changes they're making, and by their pushing of idiotic Templars vs Assassins metastory into everything, including ancient Greece and early medieval England.

But it's not like we have tons of RPGs inspired by history. So, beggars can't be choosers.

Codex Year of the Donut Codex+ Now Streaming! Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
Played again some BF:1942.

Grabbed a frigate, capped a flag while attacked by an aircraft that eventually got smashed by a salvo of my main guns. Cruised all around the map and sneaked along the enemy carrier, parked against so I could fire my front and rear cannons and sank it. Then sank another ship. Went into a fight with a frigate that sank me, but I managed to hop in one of its landing crafts, went my way but realizing that I would soon be in gun range I stayed alongside and blocked it from turning somehow thanks to the physics engine. It fucked its maneuver and rammed their newly-spammed carrier, while I escaped swimming and climbed into it.

Also the player population has increased in the last few years and you can always find at least three good servers.

I had pretty much the same experience. Very good ost and strong Conan the Barbarian vibes doesn't save this act from the fact that by this point i already experienced everything the game has to offer in terms of gameplay.
Enemies from the 5th act also started to remind me of these old Sinbad/Argonauts movies for some reason.

You can title this "My necromancer experience, slowed down x1000 times".

go straight to NOX!
Recall my Wizard experience was consisting of a lot of sitting on my balls near the blue crystals in order to recharge my mana and being annoyed by the durability mechanics.
The wizard ending was pretty cool though and the game overall was pretty neat. Heard that Conjurer has the easiest time in the campaign.

Have been playing Namco x Capcom for some weeks now and this game is an absolute blast. At least when you get through the absolute slog that is the beginning-mid section of the game.

The game in general is a tactical JRPG, which combines unit placement/movement on a map with a combat system where each time you engage with an enemy you manually have to perform combos to keep them in the air for maximum damage. The combat is extremely fun, especially because characters learn many new moves and skills when they level up, so that the combo potential becomes even bigger in late game. The amount of characters you encounter in this game is insane. You've got like 40+ characters (most of them in Duo, so it's more like 80+) from all sorts of Namco and Capcom games, with their own unique move sets, music, and "cinematic" combo attacks. The problem however with the combat system is, that because of it, missions in this game do take a while since you obviously want to do as much dmg as possible, which means that one engagement can take up to 20 secs of just juggling, exluding the pre-battle menu every time you engage with someone + the battle intro cinematic. Enemies can of course do the same to you which means that you lose another 10 secs of you getting juggled in the air + prebattle menu and so on. This can get repetitve very fast, since there is a lot of trash to clear out on the map, and might be off-putting to a lot of people.

To make matters more complicated, the game, up to mission 28 or so, is piss easy because some characters are straight up overpowered, and you're mostly dealing with trash enemies without any "hold the line against bosses"-objectives. Character management can easily be skipped until you hit a certain point in the game where the difficutly spikes up quite a bit. Reaching that point however will take you like 40 hours of gametime. Story is nothing to write home about, though they at least tried to be a little bit creative with it. Dialogue is pure cringe and can easily be skipped. Game easily is a 50/50 for a lot of people. I however came to love it, since, like mentioned already, combat is satisfying (flashy hitsparks, excellent sound design, A-Grade voice acting), the music is out of this world, and the game becomes quite interesting later on in the missions (or if you decide to just not play with KOS-MOS).

It's a game that oozes soul, and is a love letter to everything that came out of Japan's video game industry in the golden times.

:4/5:

Another great, and very catchy background track

Let's be honest, you experienced all the gameplay D2 had to offer in the first act. The game isn't exactly deep, and once you realise it's nothing but item hunting for eternity, you'll stop playing as I did. Hardcore mode can be fun occasionally just because it's so much less focused on using best-in-slot gear and plays more like a pretty decent roguelike, but even then it's a bit shallow. Still beats the hell out of farming the cow level 50 times a day trying to find that special item.

As for me, I've been trapped in the wide world of Factorio modding for the last month. My factory just keeps growing and growing and I can't stop it, I think I need help.

1. Kingdom Come: Deliverance
- all DLCs
- hardcore mode (this time)
- still love it to bits although it's such a flawed gem
- I really hope that Warhorse will be able to do a much better polishing job for the sequel.

2. Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition
- playing via eDuke32
- bought from GoG (when it was still possible)
- still rules
- still fun as fuck.

Second playthrough for both games. First time for KCD in 2019 and 1996 for Duke.

After those are done and dusted I am (considering) re-buying Carmageddon and seeing how it feels after 25 years since the last time. I had so much fun with it back then.

In Octopath Traveler II, I have completed five character stories out of eight, and defeated a bunch of optional bosses. Writing is usual JRPG fare, which I expected. I still find the gameplay loop to be fun. There are some tough fights in the game, but there are also ways to break most fights, if you know what you're doing. I've broken a few.

I'm working my way up the ranks for the different guilds in Daggerfall Unity. While it is good, so far enemy variety is almost non-existent. I got myself some cool gear, including some magical stuff. Regeneration spell is a life saver. It's a good game for me when I just want to chill for a bit. Still going (sort of) paladin style character. (I don't use a shield.)

I'm currently mid-game in Divinity: Original Sin EE. I friend of mine is against everything turn-based, but he told me he would try one game if we co-oped something. I thought this might be a good introduction, and so far, he seems to enjoy it. He's already asking for more turn-based games. He wants to co-op Wartales. While I thought that demo was okay, but nothing spectacular, I will agree only if we play DOS until the end. I will hopefully get him to play games that don't involve coop. Spreading a small amount of incline where I can. Two other bros have expressed interest in joining in on these types of games. Maybe Original Sin 2 will be a good fit. I have my complaints about it, but if it gets a few more of my bros to play turn-based games, I'm all for it. We also have Total War: Warhammer III as a proposal. We'll see.

In Championship Manager 01/02, I am still going strong in the save file where I created myself. 10 seasons in, and my self insert is doing great. Even if I quit gaming, this will be a game that I never stop playing.

How did you solve the robot quest? Did the stranded guys die? I could never get the remote to work properly. It seems the quest is bugged in the EE.
