In KOTOR1 it's the only fun path, you can kill Carth in it.

Doesn't he just run off into the jungle? I think he, Canderous, HK-47 and T3-M4 are the only party members you're unable to kill in either route.

Maybe it was a choice for a female main character? I honestly don't remember clearly, but I think I waded into his romance, and then promptly turned dark side, turned Bastila too and had an option to kill him. Maybe I'm misremembering it though, it was a long time ago and I really disliked the game. Still remember how fucking whiny he was though. "Ohhh, I don't trust you! Augh, my poor dead wife! Urgh, my shitty son!" It was unbearable.

I actually liked Leliana. She is a bit ditzy without being annoying. She is religious without being in your face about it. She is one of a very few that had to be woo'd before she even considers the knocking boots option (a big plus in my books). On top of that, she is quick-witted, funny, flirty but can be serious and competent when the situation called for it.

I don't think I have ever chosen Morrigan over Leliana in all my DAO runthroughs other than the one time for the ending (during which I hilariously got the boning scene straight out of Lothering; "We met only yesterday, but get in my tent!" "Damnit, Morrigan!").
