Call of Duty is definitely the worst RPG, despite what Todd may say.

There are just too many to choose. Gothic 3 immediately popped into my head. Oblivion more or less the same. I know some people liked The Witcher but for me that was painful. But Dragon Age 2 may be the worst of all. If I had to pick one, it would probably be that. It was aggressively bad. I played some super terrible janky 80s shit that was so bad, but it was probably made by 2 guys with the lowest tech... To be pooping out something like DA2 in this day and age is just offensive, especially with all that money behind it. Skyrim I feel the same way, what a buggy piece of shit that was at release, it sucks how forgotten that is. Dragons flying backwards, constant crashing, save corrution, falling through the world, it had it all. All from some megacorporation who knowingly release broken crap and sell it for money and then just chip away at fixing it later. Cheeky bastards. They know how to fucking budget and schedule at this point, this isn't some black art. They could develop these sacks of crap for another 6 months and turn them into something decent but they just release it half baked and they keep getting away with it because the public are stoopid, apparently. Yeeeey lets pre order everything like a dipshit child at xmas.

:hmmm:
What a shitty thread, people just spam non rpgs while trying to be edgy bastards.

The worst ARPG i have played is easelly Mass Effect 3,and not because the ending. It is one of the few games that i just had to force me self to finish. I was really butthurt because i liked the first two,i even contemplated buying it on release. It ended a linear pile of shit that had nothing to do with first two. Still curious about what was the original story about mass effects and dying stars. Ended up hating that disgusting incompetent plagiarist cuck Casey Hudson with divine passion. One of the few people that i would love to torture for years!

As for CRPGs...geee that is a hard one....hmmm,maybe numanuma. It was real chore to play it,the writing was just too much and far too descriptive and overdone. The setting and the core story were fine, but the writing was just bad and too much. They tried to larp torment but it seemed like they didn't even played it. In torment the writing was good because majority of dialogue was short and to the point. The big part of the dialogue in it was the quantity of options you had, while numanuma when for few options but all of the textwalls.

The problem with very bad games is that (unless you are highly masochistic, without taste, or an edgelord desperate to have something to whine about) you usually give up on them fairly quickly, so you don't know them in their entirety, having only played the beginning.

For instance, playing the first half of the first dungeon of Pool of Radiance 2 was enough to convince me that the game was utter shit and most definitely not worth my time. Is it one of the worse CRPG of all times ? I strongly suspect it is, but I'll never play the rest of the game, so I can't be completely sure.

Yeah, that is why i when for games that i had finished and thought that were shit. It is pointless to name games that you had played 10 minutes or just watched some screenshots and pass it.

The title itself is a warning.

It's the worst RPG ever made. Terrible combat/story/builds/items/companions.

I hate-played through the whole game, just to get my money's worth. Wasteland2 was bland but Numenera made me blacklist Inxile.

Serious post,
Worst crpg would be Ultima II. It has an awful color palette and a bad levelling scheme. It's also missing the good goals of the other early Ultima games which already aren't very enjoyable.

From all the RPG's I actually have played, it would be Dragon Age 2. An absolute disappointment on almost every level, and a nail in the coffin to what could have become a great series.

Interesting. What is your opinion on fallout new vegas? Not good as the original fallout games but far better than bugthesda's faggouts?

1.) DA:O. I waited for the announced spiritual BG successor but instead got this. Found it really bad. The writing seemed uninspired, the quests were boring and mostly combat based, the world felt very restrictive and I never liked the combat system. And world reactivity was strange. I remember one time I fled from a bunch of wolves into a village and neither the guards nor the inhabitants took any notice of it. It's just a detail, but such details can destroy a game for me.

2.) Gothic 3. In its release state it was the most horrible mess with its boars running wild and killing quest relevant NPCs and stuff like that. They wanted to create their own Bethesda-style giant open world but for me it fell flat. Their strength in G1 and 2 was to create a smaller, but believable world but G3 failed in this regard. Many Gothic 2-modifications do a much better job than this.

3.) Oblivion. A boring game. Big world, different environments but all so terribly bland and uninteresting. Repetitive gameplay elements. The only reason for Oblivion to exist is for Nehrim.

4.) Ultima IX. Apart from the countless bugs Spoony said everything that's to say about this thing.

5.) Ultima VIII. Pagan was an interesting setting and I liked the pixelart in this game but gameplay was really bad and fiddly and the longer I played the more the story felt messed up.

6.) Ultima Underworld 2. While part 1 created a very unique, believable and logically developing underground world (that worked perfectly without Ultima) part 2 never motivated me to play with its wildly different worlds to explore and its very artificial Ultima elements.

That was a good twist when
the rook and the king switched places
