Dark Souls is played out
YOU'RE PLAYED OUT!!!!

Seriously I expected better of you. From Software is arguably the greatest developer in the history of the gaming medium, perfect in all ways. While I believe they hit their peak with Dark Souls 2 they are still churning out ridiculously high quality stuff that puts just about everybody else to shame.
They are making the same game over and over. I played through the original Demon's Souls, Dark Souls and Dark Souls II many times, definitely more than you. By Dark Souls III, my interest had waned. The quests (doing all of them) seemed like a mess, the dodge roll visually irritated me by that point, the lock-on system showed its age against bigger enemies and hordes, and they had let the "git gud" douchebags influence the design too much, for one by serving them with bosses that had insane stamina regeneration. I finished the game twice, but that was very low for me. It's the only one of the Souls games I never completed. The ugly, disproportioned player characters still roll around like animals and probably brace huge, heavy shields with their fucking fists in Elden Ring. The art and setting are so tiresome by this point. I've been there and done that a bunch of times. They need to get out of their comfort zone. They could try stealing from the other Miyazaki's Nausicaa book or from Nihei's Blame instead of (apparently) Berserk again.

He likely cares more about his money than the guy that bought a Steam Deck because some dudes made him do it.
Always remember that SDG chose to leave PC gaming for a more closed, expensive platform and probably types these messages on a PlayStation.

Feel bad for all the people who enjoy a challenge that played BotW on normal difficulty.
Master Mode was piss easy as well, like children friendly. Doubt this game will be any different

One thing I wanted to see changed on this game was the stamina consumtion when running outside combat. It makes the movement very unconfortable. I actually tested it on the Cemu version with infinite stamina mod and it makes exploring the world on foot way better. I understand the limited stamina gauge for gatekeeping the climbing and the glider, but not for regular movement outside fights or any other "challenge" (The way it is on Elden ring is my ideal) . Unfortunately it works exactly the same as the older game.
In addition to breaking climbing, unlimited stamina in an open world Zelda would also make it too easy to escape engaged enemies.

That's why I said "outside combat".
Why would you only be hampered by stamina when they discover you? That'b be silly. You mentioned Elden Ring. Is Elden Ring that dumb?

In Elden ring actions like running when you are not spotted by enemies don't use the stamina gauge. So you can hold the button and the character runs constantly when exploring around. As soon as an enemy detects you the "combat" starts (The music changes), and during combat all your actions (Running, blocking, attacking, rolling) consume stamina exactly like in the older games (Demon's souls, dark souls, etc). This is the system I'm refering to and I would like to see in the modern Zeldas.

Micromanaging your stamina while running around it's not "fun". Climbing or gliding is another story.

From how you describe Elden Ring, it seems that FromSoftware should not have gone open world. Strange game logic.

Elden Ring was a step in the correct direction after Dark Souls 3. To follow up the brilliance of 2 with the fucking dumbed down railroading and fan service bullshit of 3 is one of the most aggresively stupid things From Soft could have possibly done. With Elden Ring they pulled their head out of their ass and got back closer to the freeform beauty of 2.

You're right, it's total bullshit that Ubisoft gets slammed for Assassin's Creed, Watch_Dogs, and Far Cry all being the same game while Dark Souls gets a pass

Ubisoft games were fundamentally shit from the very beginning. They were never good and they keep remaking the same turd for morons to stuff in their mouth. It's not even remotely comparable you ass.

Ubisoft at least tries to innovate. Assassin's Creed 4 is a Pirates of the Caribbean Game. Far Cry Blood Dragon is unironically one of the best games ever made. Bullshit it's not comparable. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the code from Demon's Souls is still in Elden Ring

Any progress on this running at a playable framerate for regular mortals or is it still a no-go unless you have a latest Intel CPU?

NO it is NOT comparable. Ubisoft is basically making cheap fastfood for hobos and retards. From Software is in the business of making prestigious 5 star cuisine for intellectuals and gentlemen. Fuck off back to resetera.

Don't argue with SDG he knows jack shit. Just put him on block like you would any other ignorant asshole. You are talking to a guy that cannot even boot up a computer or the steam deck he paid for.

Already falling in love with the game and I haven't even left the tutorial area yet. All those old BotW feels are comin back. I strayed away from the main quest objective and kinda got myself stuck for a bit. Had to work my way through a cold area without clothes, had to swim across a huge lake lacking the necessary stamina. Just living off the land, using the tools that mother nature blesses me with to get back on the right track. Good shit.

It's been running playable for those without the latest intel CPUs since it was first leaked. I got a Ryzen 5 5600 CPU, and the game runs full frames. Others with Ryzen chips 1 gen older like the Ryzen 5 3600 have stated that it runs fine on that CPU as well. There's a few workaround fixes that you have to use, like the 30fps mod. There's also a custom version of Ryujinx that fixes the periodic crashes. Unless you got some kind of potato CPU, you should be able to do switch emulation no problem.
