I don't even know who this is. :smug:

Game journos use botlists to block anyone guilty of wrong thinking. Probably one of his boyfriends added you to one of those lists.

Lmao, it's all empty gray space except for the black lady that they stamped next to the diversity graph. Yes, good investors as you can see by this black lady, we have attained diversity, which is much more important than both the environment and business ethics as per the graph. Thank you.

I have been playing the entire series from the start for the very first time and I do not understand all the hate.

AW1 : I was expecting a story oriented TPS and this is what it is.

The mechanics of the first game are nothing to write home about but it's competent. The story is fairly good for a game of that era. It should be compared with the likes of RE4 and the atmosphere and story of AW1 can be argued to be superior. I would have rathered they figured out how to do the open world thing but what they salvaged was good. If I have one critic to do is that the story once established doesn't go anywhere or do anything until the end. But it was still a nice journey. The DLCs are an interesting view of what could have been a take for a sequel.
Not all games have to be perfect to be good.

American Nightmare is weird as fuck but the combat is better than it had any rights to be.

As for AW2, I haven't finished it yet but it looks like it's no Control in the gameplay department, but I was very surprised by the tonal shift. It's now totally a horror game and it works and had me on the edge of my seat from the moment it decided to start things. Also, if you don't think it's visually Impressive, I really don't know what to tell you.

As for the race swap.... Yeah I guess. But it's not enough to make me skip on a good game.

The start of the game features the full back of a nude, ugly fatty dude, and you're forced to play as that one for a few minutes. Now that's real horror.

Everything I've heard and seen in regard to the gameplay parts of AW2 suggests that it is incredibly mediocre, yet the Gaming Media was praising AW2 and describing it as one of the best games of 2023.

Are these the same people that praised last of us 2 as one of the best games ever while the average joe hated it with all their passion?

To be fair, Last of Us 2 had pretty exciting pop-a-mole combat, gritty as hell too. If we just compare combat between the two, Alan Wake 2 is dreadful. Not only is the camera annoying, but the enemies are abysmal. You are fighting boring shadows throughout the whole game. And every time you do, the screen gets all messed up thanks to the massive amount of screen effects. Man, it was a pain. Anyway, even if Alan Wake 2 wasn't ideologically captured, it would still be shit, while Last of Us 2 could have been great but alas.

Sweet Baby/Bitter Bastard bots deployed to praise AW2 update that lowers requirements
something is fishy

Surely bots can synthesize real social media diarrhea already and avoid repeating the most generic of phrases? I guess not.

Oh no. Game also still isn't on Steam.

Comments by CEO Tero Virtala

In the second quarter of 2024, revenue increased 16% from a year ago to EUR 10.3 million. Development fees increased from the comparison period due to higher development fees from Max Payne 1&2 remake. Royalties consisted mainly of game sales of Control and Alan Wake Remastered. Alan Wake 2 did not yet generate royalties. In the second quarter, operating loss was EUR 3.2 million, improving by EUR 1.6 million from the comparison period.

I like how everyone's using the screenshot from the "le quirky" in-game, live action music video.

I have completed Alan Wake 2 and it should have been a movie and not a game. There should be a distinction between movies and games and remedy stopped making games after maxpayne 2. Game hardly has gameplay and boss fights are so stupid i needed to turn on the light to defeat the so called Scratch who wasnt scratch but it is alan wake. So alan wake screwed himself in this game and screwed me too with his stupid ramblings. Totally wasted of my time.

Don't forget that Alan's ultimate plan to get rid of his DARKNESS! is for a third party to shoot and kill him in a symbolic way, because the hero of the story managing to overcome his inner demons is racist when the black chick can do it for you or something.

Alan Wake quickly become a transmedia project transcending the limitations of all forms of media.

The fans wanted gameplay and they received aRtIsTic_vIsIoNs!

I still don't get why the first game had such a cult following.

It was a bland Stephen King novel with boring combat.
