Kinda cool atmosphere, even if cheesy. The best I can compare it to is the 90s in feel, Twin Peaks and X-files, set in a rural town in the north, surrounded by pine forest. I'm really soft for that setting.I still don't get why the first game had such a cult following.

Yep, there's very few games that even remotely get close to replicating the Twin Peaks vibes, and Alan Wake sorta did that at the time. Epic Games is probably getting all the money until they made the cost of the game back, and then once that has happened they split the royalties. Is my guess. Epic funded the game after all.Despite getting multiple awards, Remedy has yet to get a penny from the profits. Where has all the money gone?
YOU WILL ENJOY OUR DIVERSE GAME(MOVIE).I have completed Alan Wake 2 and it should have been a movie and not a game. There should be a distinction between movies and games and remedy stopped making games after maxpayne 2. Game hardly has gameplay and boss fights are so stupid i needed to turn on the light to defeat the so called Scratch who wasnt scratch but it is alan wake. So alan wake screwed himself in this game and screwed me too with his stupid ramblings. Totally wasted of my time.

The deal was announced just a week after the news that ex-Epic Games executive Hector Sanchez had rejoined Annapurna as President of Interactive and New Media, where his role includes partnering with founder and CEO Megan Ellison to develop IP across mediums.
