They're ancient in terms of game technology and RPG implementation and that's the bottom line. Their narrative is very primitive, later polished by the same Bioware (in their golden age, before they turned to shit).

I don't see the PS One being the latest trend today.

Man, you can't even get one reference wrong? I played these games shortly after release and I hadn't access to the internet to know who the hell published/developed what.

I know! It'd be so much easier if they put, like, a splash screen with their logo when the game starts.

To be fair I never cared/was sure who did what and to this day I believed Bioware collaborated with the IWDs. Now disperse and continue with the SoD bashing.

Also, yeah, I thought EVERYONE skipped those logo screens.

The identities of the cowled figures at the end of BGII are still unclear, furthermore what about those things attacking irenicus, were they kobolds? That's the abyss, isnt' it, why did he lose his magical powers?

What? the entirety of ToB is about that shit.

They were devils, it was on the nine hells and he ostensibly had spent every last one of his spells and resources by the end of the battle, plus all the divine energy he had stolen from you. He was completely defeated.
It was really satisfying seeing that ugly cuck getting what he deserved.

It has been retconned for his punishment to be more severe. Those were xaurips and Irenicus had no powers because he has no soul™

The whole expansion will be retconned in favor of a new character - Adella.. When she was born her parents thought her a boy..

She'd love to tell you all about it.
1. Wow, that sounds really interesting.
2. I'd love to hear it.

Codex USB, 2014 A Beautifully Desolate Campaign
Btw, class and stat-based reactivity is mostly token or for flavor, but there's lots more than in BG2.

There is one class based dialogue option I know.

There is a Gauth near the statues that you can pull onto the prime material place with your Spectacles of Spectacle.

If you're a Mage including dual or Multi, you get an additional option to send him to the final battle. Mage NPCs in your party don't trigger the dialogue.

If you're not a Mage, then you have to kill him.

It's been years since I saw Black Isle/Bioware confusion, great for Beamdog to bring it up.

15-16 years ago is ancient, yes. Put Bard's Tale right beside Baldur's Gate, roughly the same number of years.

IE games and ToEE are still beautiful, the character models could use an upgrade though.
