You can't admit that larian is capable of creating a single bad thing in dos3. I can at least admit that swen is a savvy, although passionless, business man by apealing to the degenerates and the twitch crowd who are almost as culty as his own community.

I don't mean fan made modules so much as I'm imagining using the BG 3 engine to make premium modules or standalone expansions similar to Hordes of the Underdark, Mysteries of Westgate, or Mask of the Betrayer. Larian's pretty consistent about not releasing DLC content and just putting shit directly into the game as free updates, but they have done decently with an actual expansion (Flames of Vengeance).

Not to mention being able to mod in any classes/spells/races that are missing from the base game; DOS 2 had tons of this (mostly unbalanced shit, but some was fun, and it's much easier to translate something directly from d&d than to freestyle it).

It's a Larian game. It isn't even my thing, specifically, but they have quite the history of being pretty fucking solid on that front.

I could do without the vocalization during character creation but otherwise it's pretty damn good.

I just realized, but tadpole mechanic is awfully similar to mindreading in divinity 2, and so is the third person narrator . I guess it's some kind of revenge for Swen who can now develop concept and idea that were butchered before.

Looking at where Lae'Zel is heading, maybe I was more right on the money with the 7-man cuck squad thing than I thought. Maybe they are doing it on purpose to prove me right. I'm gonna lol so hard if she does cuck you.

That annoyed the hell out of me, it was a very nice change when I finally settled on my character and hit start.

I don't like the narrator much.

Mindreading was a cool concept ( gain extra information/ reward at a price) with a flawed execution. Narrator is a stylistic choice (i don't say it is a good one), which remind me that the extravagant style of the armour is also a bit close to divinity 2 ( obvioulsy not as bad, and this point might be a bit of a stretch )

The narrator sounds so... smug. The writing isn't great but when she narrates it becomes even worse.

Fortunately, Bioware's death give us a few years of respite.

To be fair to Bioware, they were basically the first mainstream video game developer to include the non-straights of whatever persuasion as main characters. I think that cat woman in KotOR was the first? We don't see that in film, the biggest names right now (Marvel and Disney, unfortunately) have been dancing around the issue forever, perhaps mainly due to China (yes, blockbuster films are made for China, not for white American dudes), but who knows.
