I have a hard time understanding why they needed a narrator in D:OS2 tbh, let alone BG3. Since it's so *cinematic*, why don't they show me what the narrator is talking about instead? It's going to be so awkward muting everything and reading while the models are staring me right in the face. It's weird because I didn't and don't have that much trouble with the full voice acting in DA:O (it also didn't have a narrator, funny that), but I can't stand it in D:OS1 and 2.
Some RPG players hate to read.

t. 9 Con
Also the problem isn't having female fighters, it's just weird when they outnumber male fighters by any significant margin

Who would have thought that 20 years later, Keldorn, the quintessential and undeniable cuck of the original saga would be so desired in a sequel.

Next thing you'll tell me is that you miss Cernd too.

Well I'm more or less saying that there's a lack of party members that are in that 35-50 age range, got some grey in their beard/hair, have a confident attitude or take no shit personality and won't try to homo-ambush you if you ask them how their day is going.

Helps better if they're a Fighter/Paladin but I'm a TOXIC SEXIST BIGOT who sees those classes as male first. Give me some more Keldorns and Korgans, not these gaylord vampire elves. "Vampire elf." Sounds like some shit I'd have thought was kewl when I was 14.

I guess due to current standards gaygaider characters are considered manly now.

But yeah Keldorn was good and is also one of my favorite companions in BG2.

It's so over-the-top that it's comical (intentionally? or is that too optimistic?).
But yeah there is a dearth of Chad male characters.
Play Expeditions for that shit I guess.

Gayder wrote gigachad HK-47, for all his faults he can be good at characters

That's not how Constitution works in AD&D. See: https://baldursgate.fandom.com/wiki/Constitution

For comparison, Minsc with 15 CON would have, like, less than 10 more HP than Shar-Teel. This is why she's the best fighter in the game despite her CON score.

But back on 2e, everything had lower numbers. I had a epic level necromancer with 17 CON on BG2 who only had 43 hp... Even Vecna, a demigod lich had 150 hp.

The point was that it is a below-average physical score. Yes she is a very good fighter. Of course you also have Minsc, Ajantis, Kagain, Coran, etc. who are good fighters, maybe not quite on her level but it isn't poz like having every good physical combatant be a girl.
Does your familiar(pact of chain - WLK) improves with you?
Not really directly, as in it doesn't level up alongside you, but you get invocations exclusive to the Pact of the Chain that are good.

Only invocations? That is sad... One aspect which I love on RPG's is pet mechanics. Hubaxis, an necromancer only demon pet on G2 - ret(ab) on beginning can't even take a molerat by himself. Later, he becomes strong to take out archdemons and his model changes for a badass demon... And I wanna a Succubus familiar, like on AoC.

I don't see an imp being useful on lv 10+ on 5e...

One thing that escaped me: why does the drow mommy gf even care about tiefling rapefugees and wants them dead? Is there more of a reason than "for the Absolute"?

Narrators are fine when used sparingly for important mid chapter points lik BG and POE1. Hearing them ever second sucked ass in DOS2, annd especially in POE2 cause it was some small girl voice with 0 gravitas.
