The narrator sounds so... smug. The writing isn't great but when she narrates it becomes even worse.

I personally can't stand her, or any narrator. Takes me out of the game, and I don't really get why it is needed in the Age of Cinematics™

I think you can turn down her voice in the sound options. I just would like control over when it moves forward.

BG was overall very boring game with few things to do/few things to explore.
BG1 was really good. But BG2 was a failure, a completely linear game without any choice or roleplay. They redeemed themselves only when the KotOR was released.

My favourite D&D CRPG is still the Gateway to the Savage Frontier. Dixi.

Narrator = Talana from Divinity 2 and Malady from Original Sin 2, and Sindra from Elex (store owner in berserker town).

She apparently voiced 'Nyrissa' in Pathfinder: Kingmaker.

I thought she sounded familiar. Prestigious resume for the Codex.
Her voice is fine (although I agree a bit smug) I just don't like having the constant narration.

What on earth is a qt ? Is that another strange gender thing i have never heard about ?
It's a cutie. Vielleicht sind deine deutschen Wurzeln daran schuldig. Ku-te?
Ku-Te is about right if you are thinking about the German pronunciation of the letters. I do have trouble recognizing English homophones if i can't make sense out of them from context.

I have a hard time understanding why they needed a narrator in D:OS2 tbh, let alone BG3. Since it's so *cinematic*, why don't they show me what the narrator is talking about instead? It's going to be so awkward muting everything and reading while the models are staring me right in the face. It's weird because I didn't and don't have that much trouble with the full voice acting in DA:O (it also didn't have a narrator, funny that), but I can't stand it in D:OS1 and 2.

Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture
How long before non-binary and gender-fluid companions will be available?
Well, if they want to stay true to the source material:

"The DM decides whether an elf can manifest this miracle" is 10/10. As a DM, you can rightfully force upon your players the ability to change their sex at will. That way they will learn not to play dirty elves.

Three effeminate men, one of them is a gay vampire and the other two are spellcasters. They all look like dweebs and one of them is named Gale. Horrible.

The companions looks interesting. And what is the problem with spellcasters?

"A Netherese Destruction Orb beats in his chest, counting down to an explosion that can level a city. Gale is confident he'll overcome it, but time is not on his side"

Wyll "A Human Warlock, and Noble by birth, Wyll made his name as the heroic 'Blade of Frontiers'. He keeps his pact with a devil well-hidden, and is desperate to escape the hellish bargain - even if that means rescuing the seductive creature that made the deal."

An ambitious Wizard with an terrifying artifact in his body that puts not only his life at the risk, an human noble who made a bargain to get magical knowledge and wanna freedom from his pact, are two interesting character conceptions. An priestess of Shar too, is a interesting character.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

I an not saying that the companions are good as original BG1/2 but doesn't seem that bad either.

They're just hating on it because it's made by Larian, they've never actually played it.

What I really wanna is a LG zealot Paladin companion. Just imagine his/her dialog and party interations with the vampire spawn and the priestess of Shar... And romanceable succubus companion

Also wanna see lv cap raised to 5. So we can get 2d10 eldritch blast and see if fireball, Lightning Bolt and animate dead are nerfed.

most of the companions aren't even in yet
the only frontline companion is the gith
I know.
It is a dumb trend though that some games do, and that BG3 is kind of doing (so far).
Expeditions: Viking did OK with their pre-mades, who had stats that made sense for their gender and appearance.
Anyway it's not terminal poz, not a deal breaker.
