Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Codex Year of the Donut Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Is it true that the game is the first part of a series?

I’m not sure about that but I do recall WotC saying there were plans for many D&D games incoming

No, I mean I literally remember Swen mentioning somewhere that this particular plotline will span several titles. Does any of you fine gentlemen remember where it was uttered?

kill me

I'm asking mostly in the context of the "big reveal" that will, I guarantee, be that either:
A. We are Bhaalspawn/Godspawn.
B. Not all Bhaalspawn/Godspawn are dead.

This is probably the reason Minsc has amnesia - so he wouldn't be able to spill the beans. Now, if the series will have multiple titles, then the big reveal will probably be a cliff-hanger. If not - it will be the main event, and lead into the "true" story of the game (always remember, comrades - Larian had already confirmed the Mind Flayers/tadpole storyline is NOT the main plot).

Could it be that the tadpoles are individual Bhaal sperm? Oh lordy.

Look at the username, don't bother replying.
Adulf Hitlor is an Elven high mage from Myth Dranor. One of my favorite characters in the Forgotten Realms setting.

He might be a grumpy bigot that is racist towards orcs and dwarves, but I still like him.

He didn't say a word about paying.
True. Alpha testing for free is perfectly alright.

It would be fun if at the end of the game after you save the world you get hints that it might all just be a dream induced by mindflayers and in reality you are nothing but their slave.

What page can i find how butthurt the codex was when this sold 1 million copies in a week?
So you are here exactly why? Just to piss ppl off?

I am happy that they sold so many copies because every company that produce solid RPGs is a win in my book. Now, did they (so far) create a BG3? No, hell no.

Interview with Nick Pechenin the system designer: https://www.gamasutra.com/view/news...the_pure_RNG_of_Damp_Dinspired_dice_rolls.php
<...>
Some players want to save scum! They feel like this is the degree of control they have over the experience and they want to exercise that control. My fiance, she loves to save scum and if the game will not let her save scum she will make sure that she will hack it to be able to.
<...>
If I didn't know better, I'd say that he's gonna marry fantadomat
Who knows, maybe i am his gorgeous fiance ? I could be a top tier wifu, for all you know.

1 million sales in the first week really isn't that much when you take into consideration they called this BALDURS GATE 3. It should have high sale numbers on that merit alone. However I would have expected higher numbers for such a prestigious title. For comparison, Fallout 4 sold over 1 million in only the first 24 hours. So I suppose if we apply the Larian cultist logic, that makes Fallout 4 a better RPG than BG3.

In the EA Ranger is stupidly good, probably the strongest class there is.
Huh? But why?
You have access to the following.
• 1d8 damage from weapon
• 1d6 damage from hunter's mark on your target.
• 1d4 damage from dipping your weapon in fire.
• +5 damage from various bonuses.
• 1 cast of web every round, from having a spider pet.
• The spider pet incidentally is also a great HP sponge if necessary, having 32 hp.

The net result is you can CC almost everything, every single round and if you choose to set the web on fire it does a lot of incidental damage. On top of this, your base damage is 8-23 each round, which is enough to 1 hit most trash enemies and takes a fair chunk out of the larger enemies.

Of course, ranger gets buffed by Larian's stupid changes. What spider pet? What various bonuses? Doesn't sound RAW at all (not that it's inherently a bad thing, but I don't trust Larian to not fuck it up).

Hey I want to pick weaponmaster at lvl 1, that will separate me from a complete retard!

Hey at least you didn't take dungeon delver or something.
Here is the spider.

4 from attribute bonuses, 1 from enchantment bonus for a total of +5.

Honestly I hope and wish it's related Cyric and the remnant of his cult.
I'd also prefer that to digging up the Dead/Dark Three again. As far as post-Time of Troubles developments go, Bane got his in canon WotC lore, Bhaal did in ToB, and Myrkul in MotB. Cyric would be a more interesting choice if WotC meant to set him loose again, but if Jergal's involved, it's probably the three musketeers.

Until Ao told him to stop this shit, since the evil deities were complaining to him.
Been a while since I read the fifth Avatar novel, but as I recall, the other gods convinced Kelemvor themselves in the end, Ao didn't intervene. And it wasn't just the evil gods bitching. Once Kelemvor relented and put the Wall back up, it also forced the new Mystra to give up restricting access to the Weave to only benevolent practitioners, which drove a bit of a rift between the two.

What if the 3 in the title refers to the Dead Three, and doesn't have a lot to do with continuity with the previous games??

:smug:
I'll do you one better, maybe the 3 is in reference to how many companions you can have. :M

It's an early access, 1m for a game that won't be out for a year+ is pretty good and hopefully we'll get more classes out of it.

If BG3 actually sold a million copies in one week, then Larian would most likely be banging the marketing drum to brag about it. Steamspy isn't accurate anymore, because Valve closed most (all?) of Steams's security holes, so wait for official numbers.

Larian fanboys and apologists are fucking encroaching on this forum. They have to be stopped before it's too late.
Reject the DOS, embrace the BG3. That's my position.

It's a logical one, I like OS2 but BG3 even in its current state is miles above.
The progress they made in a few years is quite impressive and other companies should be inspired by that.
Hint hint Bioware and Obsidian.
