Yeah, I don't think they are having a presence at VGA in an attempt to sell more EA copies.
This is probably where the marketing push for the final release begins.

You niggas need to stop hating Minsc and Boo.
It was a perfectly fine silly gimmick character for a simple low level BG1 adventure.
The problem is making him an overused mascot and milking his tits so long they start squirting blood.
I agree. The gimmick is good for the first time, but it has grown old, due to the "new wave" of retarded Baldur's Gate Fans, you know, those Beamdog cocksuckers and now Larian.

Well, technically this is only an animated statue of a mentally challenged barbarian
Is it? I read somewhere this is supposed to be Minsc and Boo under a petrification spell.
Maybe I assumed it was "WILD MAGIC DID IT" animated statue miracle minsc, because the statue in the official art and some gay comic was bigger than a human. Even a big lad like Minsc. And with wild magic you don't have to explain shit.

Welp. I guess turning into stone made him bigger or whatever.

:gumpyhead:
You are partially right about wild magic part. It is what unpetrified him in the comic book.

Sadly it's actually him and he goes back to normal size right after.

If you can be fucked to read this shit, here you go. I don't recommend it though.

See? That would've been a fun twist. Having an oversized Minsc running around. But have Boo turn diminutive. Have some laughs with that. You can get creative.

Will we get *creative*? That's the real question.
Better yet, Boo could be turned into an actual giant space hamster, from the Spelljammer campaign setting:

Why has nobody made a new Spelljammer game anyway.

Original settings are so hard for nu-developers.
And Spelljammer was always kind of gonzo. I don't think it ever took off that much, even at the height of 2E. Certainly no one in my circle at the time was into it, and we tended to pick up everything.

Yeah but there some really nice, original settings out there. Waiting to be used again in games like Al-Quadim, Dark Sun, Ravenloft, Dragonlance and etc
But also I fear they are going to rape the settings nowadays, making them woke. Don't even want to think about a woke Dark Sun game...

Wokism not only destroyed IRL but also destroyed fictional worlds. I in the past wished that they would bring the iconic stuff back but not I realize that they would transform any D&D setting into high fantasy Commiefornia...

I don't even know why I'm still interested in this game because it looks and reads like everything I hate about nu-rpgs.

It has some interesting subsystems but its unfortunately ruined by "cinematic" gameplay and wokeism

and Early Access of course
What's "woke" about BG3?
Whenever you attacked one of the apostles, your hand closed around slimy
matter which immediately separated and slipped through the fingers and the next moment
reconstituted itself. If you struck such an annihilating blow that, observed by the audience, he
had no choice but to agree with you, and thus you thought you had taken one step forward, the
next day your amazement would be great. The Larianfag knew nothing at all about yesterday and
repeated his same old twaddle as though nothing had happened; if you angrily challenged him
on this, he could not remember a thing other than he had demonstrated the correctness of his
assertions on the previous day.

This passage seems to be describing a frustrating and seemingly futile interaction with someone. The individual being attacked is referred to as a "Larianfag," which is a term that I am not familiar with. It is described as being immune to any challenges or arguments made against it, and continues to repeat its beliefs without being affected by any counterarguments. This makes it difficult for the person attacking the Larianfag to make any progress or convince them of anything different.
