Oh dont get me wrong, a fair price for a fair content matters to me. I just dont think Larian care or needs to deliver a true masterpiece with the 1.0. Many people already bought a shell of a game in 2020 and were satisfied enough to put out good reviews for it. How many of them will reach the last acts of the game once 1.0 drops ? Even if BG3 last acts are mediocre, the number of potential disatisfied folks reaching those acts is probably going to drop past act 2.

Just to illustrate my point with the Steam achievements for OS2 : 20.2% Reached Arx and 11.6% finished the game in Easy.

That's why I think it does not matter that much generaly speaking.

So the city of Baldur's Gate is going to be window dressing? Lol.

Most of Act 1 was done when they released it to early access. If that was two thirds of the content, why did it take them 3 years to finish the remaining content? Do they just like wasting money?

All they've done in that time to Act 1 is polish it slightly and dumb it down for the whiners who, for example, couldn't stand that Shadowheart didn't immediately suck their dicks.
