I think you answered to the wrong person as I was speaking about BG3 map, not BG1 map. I only did BG1&2 two years ago, no nostalgia for me here even if I liked both.

I was about to say the same thing yesterday but if we just did to BG1 map what Larian is doing to BG3 map then I would absolutly find it to be mediocre and stupid. If this is indeed the same shit for some parts of BG1 maps then I find it stupid and badly done.

sorry, but no such thing. people of old knew how to make games load fast. unlike obsidian or larian.
Helps when your game world is a jpeg.

Even then, if you were running on old hardware, it could take a good minute or two. I think when I first tried BG2, I was on an old PC and it took a while longer than the instant load times you'll see today.
my potato pc can run anything i want. make something i want to install first, nigger.
IIRC, your potato PC couldn't run BG3 very well at all and you turned down the settings to minimum and then complained how ugly the game was for a few pages.

edit: nvm ERYFKRAD is right, I think. My bad. Confused the anime avatar trannies. :M

Maybe it was saeci?
Nope.
Another thing that I fear is this red Afro-American snowflake hoe I pray to the gods that they won't put her as companion she was assassin in blood wars but got rolled by random normies and what's going on with her grip on the crossbow???
They're not exactly random normies.
They're also assassins, sent after her by her former master. There's a few ways to uncover to uncover this. Or you can complete their quest.

I think her graphics are a placeholder btw. They clearly say the woman they're hunting has one horn, but she uses the generic model.

Also, I usually just kill her because I don't like her, and I'm really glad you can because I'm pretty sure she is supposed to be a companion, if you don't kill her.

Yea that may be the case when I handed her head it changed color to white, but her biggest problem is her dialogue not her look and I say they are normies because if my lv 3 party can roll them with cantrips they are not good at their job.

I was thinking lately that maybe I gave up on this game too early I didn't even visit gay forge so I started pondering my orb to find something that would bring me back and after intense session i came to the conclusion that there is something that I like about this game and maybe even devil like Sven deserves a second chance.

So I'm playing sorcerer with wild magic and recently I realized that random effects seems to repeat often so I checked wiki and I must say that was big disappointment

The following are some of the possible effects that could take place:

  • At the start of each turn, trigger a random magical effect.
  • Summon a mephit that is hostile to everyone in the vicinity. - In BG I/II wild magic could summon some dank demon that could wipe entire city and here we got a shitty mephit with 12hp? wtf
  • Switch positions with a target each time you cast a spell or Cantrip. - This is interesting effect, most of the time you don't want to use it because sending your sorc between enemies is bad idea to it have some potential
  • Until the end of your next turn, you can use a Bonus action to teleport up to 9m. - Useful but but boring
  • Create a dense cloud of fog, centered on yourself. The fog Heavily Obscures and Blinds creatures within. - Trash
  • Each creature within 9m becomes Blurred. = Boring
  • Your spells of level 1 and higher heal all creatures in a 3m radius for 1d4 hit points per Spell Slot level. - Boring
  • Set fire to everyone around caster for 5 turns - Funny
  • Enhances Weapon with +1d4 Force Damage. Hits will always deal Critical Damage.
  • Spawns water puddle around caster - I can piss myself 2 does that mean I'm a sorcerer?
So they didn't put that much effort into those random effects most of them are boring or just meaningless lets that they will add more.

Another thing that I fear is this red Afro-American snowflake hoe I pray to the gods that they won't put her as companion she was assassin in blood wars but got rolled by random normies and what's going on with her grip on the crossbow???

Can't optimize anything when you run a game on a toaster. Time to upgrade your pentium 4 you got from your parents 20 years ago Piotr.

If drunk Russians can optimize their game to run on my pc, then you could 2

For the Larian employees lurking here, I would like to reiterate that the way reactions were implemented was very good, and I'm excited to see where else this system will be expanded. I think everyone was satisfied - both the hardcore fans of movie gaming who didn't want any interruptions to their Astarion erotica, and the wargaming nerds who wanted maximum fine control over the flow of combat. Out of all elements of the game, this one is universally praised, and for a good reason.

Hotfix #30 Now Live!
Version Number: 4.1.1.2084795

A little surprise hotfix for you this holiday season, which will take care of a number of visual bugs, blockers, crashes, and more! From adding Pings to your minimap to fixing noiseless footsteps to removing those weird powers of telekinesis that we accidentally gave characters when they’re picking something up to throw.

Oh and no more pushing gaseous forms off of cliffs. We'll be praying to that big Paladin Santa in the sky that he spares you for attempting something so cruel during this, (gestures vaguely), the most wonderful time of the year.

A big thanks to all who reported these issues to us, and we’re looking forward to seeing you in the new year!

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Players can now use Ping on minimap
  • Fixed issue where player character receives damage when throwing weapon with Throw action
  • Multi-projectile spells like Magic Missile now use correct path and hit selected targets correctly
  • Fixed issue where attempting to throw far away items or characters will immediately snap the item into the character’s hand. So no more telekinetic barbarians
  • Characters in Gaseous Form can no longer be shoved off a cliff
  • Fixed issue causing zombies to die if the original zombie created with Animate Dead is killed
  • Fixed issue where Oathbreakers would side with Tieflings during the Attack on the Grove after selecting dialogue option to side with Minthara
  • Potential fix for an issue where the screen would become black for some players.

CRASHES AND BLOCKERS

  • Fixed crash when going back to Main Menu under certain conditions
  • Fixed random crash upon loading
  • Fixed issue in Multiplayer where the game would crash if the host disconnected while another player was in the Character Sheet screen.

PERFORMANCE ISSUES

  • Fixed the sharp drops in FPS when opening spellbook
  • Fixed performance issue when casting spells after loading the game for the first time

UI

  • Players can now use Ping on minimap
  • Fixed players being unable to obtain their Oathbreaker subclass if they save then load their game while in the Level Up UI
  • Updated tooltip for Divine Favour to show the correct duration of the status effect
  • Using [L] hotkey in Party View now opens Reactions menu

CINEMATICS

  • Fixed missing backgrounds in the Hag’s talking door cinematic
  • Fixed issue causing player to become stuck in cinematic after initiating dialog with Asharak or Guex when another party member is speaking to Wyll in The Hollow
  • Fixed issue where circle highlights appear in cinematics
  • Added new Gale VO in dialogue with Shadowheart

SPELLS AND ABILITIES

  • Fixed issue where player character receives damage when throwing weapon with Throw action
  • Multi-projectile spells like Magic Missile now use correct path and hit selected targets correctly
  • Characters in Gaseous Form will no longer be affected by surfaces
  • Characters in Gaseous Form can no longer be shoved off a cliff
  • Fixed issue causing zombies to die if the original zombie created with Animate Dead is killed
  • Fixed issue where shout spells fail to cast when vision is lost
  • Fixed missing Fly animations for Cats, Badgers and Deep Rothé
  • Fixed issue where Asmodeus Tieflings could cast Hellish Rebuke infinitely
  • Extra Rage charge was removed for Barbarian Wildheart at level 5

VISUALS AND SOUND

  • Potential fix for an issue where the screen would become black for some players.
  • Fixed issue that caused footsteps to produce no sound on most terrain. Now your Rogue has to be extra sneaky
  • Fixed lighting issues after loading a save made in Adamantine Forge
  • Fixed lighting issues in cinematics where the Oathbreaker appears to you
  • Added missing Prepare SFX for certain spells
  • Fixed issue with footprints appearing black after a character steps in water

BUGS

  • Fixed issue where attempting to throw far away items or characters will immediately snap the item into the character’s hand. So no more telekinetic barbarians
  • Fixed issue where Oathbreakers would side with Tieflings during the Attack on the Grove after selecting dialogue option to side with Minthara
  • Fixed issue with Ogres becoming stuck after receiving Frightened condition from a Wrathful Smite spell
  • Fixed issue requiring French localization players to change savegame name in order to manually save
  • Fixed problem with Controlled condition becoming broken after loading a save

Really unlikely. The days of the Codex having anything to contribute to RPG discussion are long gone.

This thread goes on for pages with the same handful of spergs spamming idiotic criticisms like "it has a different main character, therefore it can't be a numbered sequel!" or "Minsc's voice actor sounds different!" or "I don't like Jaheria's 3D model wtf abomination!!!12".

In the past 6 months, the most novel design criticism I've seen here has been "LOADING SCREENS BETWEEN AREAS WAS MORE IMMERSIVE!".

I have posted about substantial design, interface or mechanical issues with the game countless times, all aspects that if addressed properly and in a tempestive manner could significantly increase the appeal of the game in one or more areas.
I was regularly and promptly ignored, because this thread is full of people who don't have a fucking clue of what they are talking about, don't know the firs thing about the current state of BG3, love to complain about everything just for the sake of complaining and sounding "old school" (but closer to senile and irrationally angry, really) and more in general are more fond of their hobby of shit-posting rather than discussing game design.

That aside, it's hard to disagree with the first sentence.
There was a time where this forum was known for being a shithole, but at least populated of people who had some expertise about the RPG genre. Then it went through a long process of Flanderization where most of the "veterans" hanging around feel more like caricatures rather than actual persons.

Nigga's unironically bragging about how he's doing QA Testing for a multi-million dollar company..... for free.

Unless he did the intelligent thing and torrented it, he literally paid to do QA.

If you weren't the sad sub-human moron you are, you'd realize that I'm talking about exchanging opinions between users. On this forum.
Also, I wasn't "bragging" about anything, I was pointing to an user that complained about a specific trend that attempts to discuss ACTUAL qualities and flaws of the game have been made several times and ignored.

Unless he did the intelligent thing and torrented it, he literally paid to do QA.
I'm happy to say I can afford to pay for my hobbies.
Cry a lot about it, wanker.

>pays to do QA
>gets ignored by Saint Swen
>gets mocked on the Codex

Goddamn, life's a bitch. :negative:

OK, shitposting aside, Tuco Benedicto Pacifico , I can appreciate what you're trying to do, but you're just wasting your time. Swen and his coven of fucking retards are gonna do what they're gonna do. From what I know, the armor system in D:OS 2 got major flak during Alpha testing, but they stuck to it anyway. So all of your in-depth discussion of the game right now is meaningless because:

A) It won't affect the final product.
B) We don't know for sure if that's what the final product is even going to look like before it actually comes out.

Until there's a finished product delivered to the market, your 300-IQ in-depth analysis is just as worthless as dumb memes and Shadowheart Rule 34 porn.
