The really dumb part is that he was on the streets of Baldur's Gate, when his epilogue says he want to Kara-Tur to bury Tamoko and never returned.

Why would he come back to Baldur's Gate when the Iron Throne was destroyed and he was a wanted criminal who tried to assassinate the dukes?

Sarevok's TOB redemption arc wasn't bad, you know. One of the better endings as I remember it. Disappointing that would make him an aging second rate villain.

The 5E BG lore is completely idiotic in every respect. They made the stock fighter character into the canon PC and had him keep the Bhaal essence inside him for over a hundred years instead of picking one of the two endings in the game, where you either become a minor deity or let Solar seal away the essence.

It's an insult to fans of the game, since it basically ignores the game and just retcons things however the writer wants.

This is why you should be GLAD that this isn't a 'direct sequel' like some itt were butthurt about. The fact they dug up Minsc and granny Jaheira is bad enough.
