Wow it’s practically the same game!

Idk why the cope on codex, when reddit BG3 and Dragon Age fanboys overwhelmingly agree that BG3 is inspired by Dragon Age and it's a good thing

Some comments from the threads:

My wife has been dying for Dragon Age 4 for years, she's a hard Solas shipper and every game event she gets super disappointed about the lack of news. I let her play BG3 and now she could care less about dragon age

From the amount of horny posting i was feeling that the fanbases overlapped lol

Me! DA:O remains one of my favorite video games of all time. The story, the characters, the mythology, the gameplay, etc. have left a lasting impact on me. I can’t wait for DA4!

I was drawn to BG3 in large part to how much it reminded me of the DA series

Yeah, BG3 is basically turn-based Dragon Age Origins. I love it.

The first time I played origins I quit immediately because it was too old and different than what I was used to (DAI, Skyrim, the fallout games) then I tried it again a year or two later and tolerated it. I wonder if my love for bg3 would change my view on DAO

Are all the conversations done cinematically, Origins style? I hate CRPGs for their text boxes and half-voiced efforts.

>Game has big budget fantasy graphics

"OMG, it's totally DA!!!!"
Don't understand you, you need to show that dialogue more cinematically

The game looks so uninspired that every fantasy games look like BG3.

In essence, this game is more like the spiritual successor to Dragon age than to Baldur's gate.

Strong, high level adventurers are going to butt heads and jockey for supremacy. Here is Haer'Dalis and Anomen.

Lae'zel and Shadowheart are at loggerheads from the start. Are we going to see the bantz? Good banter from them would have to be written by women and they'd be able to really dive in. Larian has women writers, so these two are their chance to shine.

I've been role-playing as an elf in games since Lord of the Rings Fellowship of the Ring came out when I was 7, and I wanted to be Legolas. For all the arguments against elves, attracting women is the obvious answer for them.

WTF is that negress doing in my Baldur's Gate SOA?

Some of these chars I cant recall them ever being part of the gang.

They all say it reminds them of DA:O, not that it’s literally the same game.

You need to use less Reddit, you are catching their brain tumours.

Imagine referencing opinions on Reddit as a basis for your argument. Yeah sure both games utilise cinematics like all DA and ME games but this shit about romancing and Reddit tier writing is found in all modern CRPGs. Or are you seriously saying this isn’t the case in Pillars or KM/WotR? The romance concept dates way back and includes BG1/2.

What actually matters like combat system, use of skills, stealth mechanics, classes, itemisation, encounter design these are all wholly different. You won’t find a single element of similarity here to the MMO-like garbage that was DA:I.

I briefly thought
CHARNAME
might be a possibility but discounted it on the basis of the butthurt it would cause old fans. To be honest though if they do go down that route I will most likely be raging right along with the rest of them

I would get wrinkles from the ear-to-ear smile that will be stuck on my face the entire week.

Those are the fanfic companions from the Enhanced Edition, as you can tell by their mugs.
Fuckin yikes. Luckily I got the classic GOG version before they turned it into the 'enhanced' version.

Imagine referencing opinions on Reddit as a basis for your argument.

These are the people for whom BG3 was made, whose tastes shaped entirely how the game looks and plays, so obviously I'll reference their opinions when talking about the similarities of BG3 and DA series. Also idk why you're so harsh on reddit, these people are your soulmates, seems like you would be happier there. Are you also an obsessed Solas shipper who now fell in love with BG3, like that one guy's wife? Or are you into it purely for the hopes of having a gay threesome with a vampire and a bear? Choose your own "adventure" on 3 August 2023 in this le epic cinematic spiritual successor to DA

Ok so you don’t have any actual arguments when pushed for details.
