Edgy Gamer, you said all these things to demonstrate why the bear sex scene is wrong but then you changed your avatar to this gay vampire character to trigger the people objecting to the bear sex scene? Am I missing something?
Avatar is just a troll. We do a bit of trolling here. :M

I have a lot of positive things to say about the game, and I have a lot of negatives to say about it. I don't recommend purchasing it purely because of the tranny ideology.

But I have a problem with bad arguments on both sides:

Theo and co say bear sex is just a joke bro and that you don't need to worry about yet another degenerate sex act in a video game, let alone smeared all over TikTok for kids to see. Meanwhile, people try to imply that the game itself is somehow uniquely evil just because they hate Larian of bear sex.

I say both arguments are either dishonest or ignorant. Gay sex, let alone gay bear sex, shown in cinematic fashion is a pretty big deal for a video game. It's degenerate, and people have every right to reject it. It doesn't matter if it's been done before to some degree, and it has, it's still a negative. But at the same time, BG2 had gay sex in it. It just wasn't cinematic. So did Dragon Age, which also had bestiality (just not cinematic). So, it's not as if Larian came up with this on their own because Larian = bad.

Most of my posts here are just me saying "but that's not actually true..." followed by pages of back and forth.

some stuff from interview so far
  • 10 am PST release
  • No rolling for stats. They actually had that for awhile, ended up cutting it.
  • Conversations are locked to the person initiating conversation. Other players can suggest answers, just like in EA currently
  • Cannot use rolls/checks from the other characters.
  • They are working on day one Steam Deck verified. It's not there yet, but they are trying.
  • Multiclass characters get all the options/reactivity tags for all their classes in conversations.
  • Resource management for resting - experimented with 'danger zones' where you cannot rest. play testers hated it. They reduced those - still there. Your map/ UI will have a red highlight to indicate a danger zone. Right now the system sounds to be pretty much like it is in EA otherwise.
  • How do you keep Larian Larian and avoid falling into the piftalls?
    • Swen basically just said he's not sure how to answer. They are a company that cares about their games, and they have an ethos of subjugating the bugdet to quality (they pick quality over budget) They will just redo it and redo it until they are happy with it. Everyone is passionate about their projects. And this will always be the way. They will just make something they want to play themselves. As long as the audience likes it too, Larian is probably good. He was about to say "as long as I'm in charge". Swen delivers high praise for the Larian team. "I founded this company. To make this kind of thing"
  • Is reviewing this game hard because of all the permutations? One reviewer will se one thing an another will see something else?
    • Yes, it worries me. We moved the date up and knew we would sacrifice review time. At this point we can't do much. Review codes go out very soon.
  • Will druids be able to talk to Boo?
    • Good question - we debated it for awhile. Wildshapes can talk to animals. Boo is special. How special - you will have to see for yourselves. The mystery of Boo is that it's the mystery of Boo. I think you will find a really good Minsc. You're mind melding with each other (tadpoles) but Boo we wanted to leave for you to discover.
  • A lot of 5e players noted there is no dodge?
    • Not in there. No Ready, no Dodge. Whether that was the right decision we will see with mods. People will probably mod it in. We are not shipping with it.
  • What was the hardest part/thing to make? The easiest?
    • What we were working on during Covid (Just everything we made during Covid) Dark time. Coincidentally, what we were working on was a dark part of the game.. Easiest - the city was easier than the bit we worked on during Covid.
  • Any particular character/class interactions in EA that most players missed that you noticed in the metadata?
    • I don't really pay attention to the data.

Swen loves Into the Breach

  • What is your favorite Ultima 7 memory
    • There was a lich in Ultima 7 that told you he was unkillable. He wasn't. I spent hours figuring it out. That and the sheer sense of reward from exploration. Yesterday, I was in the city, and I was like, "We got it". I feel we nailed that sense of exploration. Secrets, secrets, rewards.
  • You guys have created something incredible - finely honed team creating this amazing engine. Will there be a DM tool?
    • No, I don't think so. It would be such a big undertaking. I wish we had it, becasue it would make our lives easier. I don;t think we will be doing that. It's not undoable.
    • We will support modding. There will be a lot of support coming for modding, but not at release. It will still be complicated. You will need time and a team. I'm not saying it's undoable.
  • Have you guys alluded to/ talked about more content coming in the future?
    • I missed the answer here - sorry folks. But sounded like a yes.

Fucking playtesters crying about not being able to rest spam. At least they didn’t succumb completely and scrapped it entirely. It’s an endless battle with these casual fucks trying to turn every game bland.

All games are rushed. But BG3 is first 100% finished on premiere.
Lmao, it didn't even release yet, and you saw only first act, hold your horses Larianfag. I fully expect it to be just like DOS1/2, finished only in early access areas, then steadily descending into a total mess as you get into further acts.

People who played in full version said that third act is polished like in none of Larian games. I have good feelings.

open last page - ghey vampire. open last page few pages later - bear seggs. open last page few pages later again - cloacas.
and you fags still pretend to be not core bioware audience?

You forgot about this black chick I posted...or you see what you want to see.

Bro it's gonna be good trust me just wait until the Enhanced Edition is out, you'll see.

Nah, I waited three years in EA. I just want to check how things goes, for bad or good.

Ah, immersion myth. Only crazy people believe in "I'm in game for real!". It's like believing that you are chess figure.

The game will succeed with or without codex's seal of approval. What we are seeing here is just yet another episode of pre-release drama and the usual sperging points.

What are you talking about. A huge part of narrative cohesion in a game like this is to not allow you to turn a character like shadowheart into a paladin with +18 CHA as it makes zero sense. Now you could argue from a gameplay perspective that it’s good if you can decide from lvl2 and onwards the companion’s class like KM/WotR but that’s stretching it.

Either way if they gonna allow this the next best thing is for the story to act like those changes don’t mean anything as a fuck you to the retards who demanded this change.

Looking less and less likely. It's not a minor feature, if it were planned I'd have imagined Swen telling us about it by now.
Authoring (proper) mods for the engine requires access to the toolkit, and mod support will be available at release.

Shadowheart paladin is strange game decision, like putting your figures for certain death, but not "immersion" problem. How you could immerse in girl class?

People who played the full version of Cyberpunk before release said that it was the most incredible open world game they had ever experienced, and that it was going to revolutionize gaming.

Because the only people who get to play full versions of games before release are SHILLS every time. They have to give shit glowing reviews and recommendations or they lose their privileges. Get a clue.

Noober is back and is voiced by CohhCarnage :hmmm:

I read "Nobber is black". What a relief!

Who is CohnCarnage?

True, but for me late Cyberpunk gameplays looked shitty, so I wasn't surprised.

Cyberpunk reviews really separated the honest reviewers from the shills for me. Previously I just assumed they had bad taste, but after the 2077 debacle I knew they were just bought and paid for.

It was really funny watching them try to back peddle once the game was released.

Didn't I once call you one of my favorite shitposters? I dunno, it's hard to keep track of alts.

Poor bastard probably knew Jaheira wouldn't resurrect him.

j6wMBVB.jpg

Reminder that this, and 100 gold, is what it would have taken for Jaheira to resurrect Khalid.
But if Khalid is alive, how can she have an account on all those lonely old lady sex sites?
FxkVIz1.jpg

Acording to Swen, Jaheira has children (they probably was born after BG 2 story).
