Asatarion is super popular with women.
Will be improved anyway, was already confirmed.
Even with the barebones ending it's still a masterpiece.
I remember playing EA and feeling ecstatic about the game. Companions that are actually weary of you and each other. Who hold secrets and aren't willing to share them easily, just because "reasons". Who clearly have conflicting goals that will result in a bunch of backstabbing, rivalries. People whose only common goal was getting rid of the parasite.
"This is it.", I thought. This is finally an attempt to make a unique and relatively mature story in an AAA RPG. I couldn't wait to see how all those relationships would develop, how the conflicts would force you to act and branch the story.
And then the full game came out, and they dialed all of those things down by 10. Everyone worships you within 5 minutes and shares their life secret with you, the story is just generic hero of thecountry world saves the day and what they dialed up instead was cringe dialogue, especially romance (and I'm saying that as someone who usually enjoys romantic subplots in RPGs). It's just another generic fantasy slop. A fairly competent (especially considering the state of industry nowadays), with high production values and good combat, but still slop. And it's probably all because reddit cucks and QA trannies complained that they don't get to self-insert as isekai anime hero whom everyone immediately worships and who solves world hunger with the power of friendship and that companions dare to have opinions, convictions and goals of their own.
I stopped playing somewhere at the end of Act I near release and can't bring myself to launch the game again since then. I'll probably only play it again when they release some definitive edition or whatever, which will hopefully fix at least the other problems with the game, because the tone of the story is forever destined to remain generic fantasy slop.

I don't think so. A completicionist run in BG3 can take 140 hours on average according to howlongtobeat. That is as big as BG2.

Websites are ghey. It takes way longer than that, which is irrelevant if the content axed borks major questlines and screws up the namesake part of the game.

After plaything through as Gale with just the lasses, I'm in Act 1 of a Dark Urge playthrough where I'm trying recruit as many NPCs as possible and give them a fair chance to be interesting. The jury's still out on the general project but I'm pretty unimpressed with Gale's quest so far. Playing as Gale, I thought the magic-hunger part of the quest was pretty well handled (though some of the later stuff with Elminster was cringe) but playing as anyone else, Gale's portrayal is awful; 100% junkie, constantly begging for items while being unwilling to explain himself. At this point, he's getting specc'd for transmutation so he can be useful while being left in camp.

Imagine if they knew Russians worked on the game.
Though what I've been told of Swen, he goes "I have a friend in Ukraine who told me Russians rape babies, it's horrible, I'll never work with Russians again". He says it in front of his Russian employees. Not the smartest tool in the shed.

As much pro UA as I"m, what is with this "collective punishment"? The average Russian should't be punished by what Putin government did just like the average American should't be punished by what Bush did. Simple as that.
