Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Codex Year of the Donut Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.

That just tells me that the community manager position is being held by the typical degenerate Redditor. Which is always the case, in every gaming company ever.

Games in 2014:
->Bayonetta 2
->Dark Souls II
-> Hearthstone
-> Shadow of Mordor
-> Wolfenstein: A New Order
-> Divinity: Original sin
-> Alien: Isolation
-> South Park: The Stick of Truth
These are probably all the most important games released this year.
It was really bad year.
Games released in 2014:
  • Legend of Grimrock II (RPG of the Year)
  • Shovel Knight
  • Transistor
  • Dark Souls 2
  • Banished
  • Might & Magic X
  • Wasteland 2
  • Divinity: Original Sin
  • Shadowrun: Dragonfall
  • The Banner Saga

Perhaps a bad year for big-budget games, but a fairly good one for RPGs.

This type of event is not intended for niche games. There are few independent games (even outside their own category), but practically only those that managed to break through.
So, some more complicated games probably have no chance unless they turn out to be exceptionally good
Strangely enough, even Dark Souls 2 was nominated for some reason, which is strange considering the negative reception of the game.

when you aren't really allowed to make custom companions
Interesting. I thought you could do that, to an extent, by respeccing the hirelings Withers offers.
I don't count the premade then as custom companions because I can't handcraft the perfect party of Gnomes by using them. The Withers are clearly premade Larian companions who have superior writing and romances to the main companions. Did I mention that there is only one Gnome and he has a stupid name? The only way to get true custom companions is to use the .exe exploit.
What are you talking about? He's one of the reasons I killed Assboy on sight. If anything, the thing that carried the game was the tolerable yet easy combat. Unfortunately, you get reminded that this is a Larian game when everything turns into a shovefest, you get to exploit the jump button to at least double your movement per turn, and you find yet another dumb gimmick intentional put in the game that lets you further trivialize it just like in DOS2.

We all know BG3 is woke trash, but seeing a TB CRPG smash the fuck out of all the usual normie shite like Zelda, Mario, Spiderman etc. has been utterly joyous. It's caused a right shitstorm on some social media groups, with one FB group having a admin who's going round banning people left, right and center over them reposting this claim him made...

:lol:

But what's most satisfying is watching these completely dumb cunts trying their bollocks off to get into the game and failing, because it's now the trend. "It's complicated!" is something I'm reading everywhere lol. Stuff like this is brill...

It's a real watershed moment spotlighting the dumbest gamers out there, and it's been long overdue.

I think it's amazing how 90% of people out there live in a parallel world where PC games appear to have never existed.

I see this constantly, from comments people make down to youtube videos i occationally end up catching. You'll have people play stuff like Witcher 3 and say things like it's their favored RPG since Chrono Trigger (and it's always fucking Chronoe Trigger), as if the RPG genre begun and ended with that fucking game UNTIL modern times.

I already cannot stand consoletards on a normal day but when i see shit like that i simply feel this burning hatred for them.
As one of the more consoletardy posters on the forum, I completely agree. Their ignorance of gaming is incredible. If anyone brings Chrono Trigger into the "Greatest RPG ever" conversation it's an instant red-flag that said player has played fuck all games, or is carrying some level of retardational dysfunction. Their blinkered desire to dismiss games which they haven't heard of is hilarious too.

This might give you a laugh as well...

I find it amazing people can live without a PC in general tbh. Like, I was a working class rubbing rag from a pit village who's family didn't have a pot to piss in during the minor's strike in the 80's, yet we still grabbed ourselves a BBC Micro when we could because anyone with half a brain could see how essential computers were going to be to society over the coming years.
Imagine being 'overwhelmed' by this game, fucking throw your pc/console out and just play candy crush on your iPhone at that point, you have zero gamer cred. The game does *everything* possible to make it easy on normies, it doesn't even fucking tell you what you get at later levels for each class for fuck's sake.

Is Adam Smith in any way an improvement over the writers of Larian's previous games? Having seen the writing of the tutorial area in a let's play, it doesn't look promising.

I do have to give Larian a bit of credit for not having Wyll reference the fact that he's black even once.

Why would he, "Black" isn't a thing in the setting. Instead he should explain how his family even got from wherever blacks live in Fearun to Baldurs Gate.
