Only a few hours in, but so far I'm liking it.
It is such a breath of fresh air to be playing an RPG that is not D&D or a direct clone (like Pathfinder).
I'm looking at the classes, attributes and skills and I'm like "I don't really have too much of a clue what would be best" and I'm loving that!
Of course, it is entirely possible that the balance is completely whack and there are very obvious good and bad build choices, but having the opportunity to figure that out instead of knowing it already before even starting is a truly welcome change.
The VA is fine so far. Obviously not AAA, but fine.
Graphics look good, can't complain. Again obv. not AAA, but fine.
There are some obvious issues, but most of them no doubt due to a small team size. Can be excused, IMO, but is still very annoying.
Stuff like the UI being obtuse, sometimes. E.g. when leveling up or creating a character, you only get a tooltip of what attributes actually do in the final "review" screen.
Or when creating a character, you can't jump back and forth between categories in any order, you can only go to "next" and "previous".
The worst offender has to be the ability bar, though. Instead of having all abilities in one bar (as is fucking standard in every single RPG), you have this bar that doesn't show a fucking thing and you have to click through "sub-bars" (with non-intuitive buttons) to get to abilities that you actually want to use. Some of them have assignable shortcuts, some don't. The fuck?!
Just give me a single bar (with option to have multiple bars) and let me put everything that can be "used" there. Why make something so simple so needlessly complicated...
The combat log is WAY too small. Mine displays 3-4 lines at once. And I have to resize it after every single load
