They should rename the emulator to ChadPS4
Shad is not a very... marketable term...

5 more years? Might not even be five more months.
At this rate
2 more weeks :-D

  • Audio is fully working
  • stuttering has been significantly reduced
  • the emulator crashes much less often (before it was difficult to play more than 10 minutes without the game crashing)
  • normal maps and specular maps are working now
  • the emulator now supports cheats and there's been an increase in mods (skipping intro, xbox controller icons

The game even "runs" on a GTX 1070 Laptop...

i7-7700HQ
Isn't this thing 10 years old?
Keep in mind that CPU is the main source of emulation performance, not GPU.

The closest thing you will get is a Remake with butchered everything by Bluepoint, it's a monkey's paw wish. Wait for emulation
Mark my words the most autistic complaints about art direction in the Demon's Souls remake will be addressed within two weeks of it releasing with a small handful of model swaps and texture replacement mods. Then you're just getting Demon's Souls with a better engine and better invasion netcode.

I'll gladly take a Bluepoint Demon's Souls port/Bloodborne remake over getting stuck with another 60FPS port on PC.

Still not ideal, but I'm 95% sure that a year from now Bloodborne emulation will be the best possible way to play this flawless masterpiece (and everyone deserves to play it)

The game, even in this condition, already has almost 100 mods on Nexus
I am seriously curious to know why Sony decided it would be this particular exclusive they would never release a port for, despite all evidence showing that it would be a smash hit

We all do buddy.

Only explanation I see is the aura of the game shining upon the Playstation trademark as this sort of cult classic exclusive. As long as it remains exclusive, even to a dead console, it's bound to Playstation's image.
Other explanation is they've had a studio working on it for years now and it's in some dev hell for some reason.

Saving it for a remake as a ps6 exclusive launch title is my guess.

Because they have few Japanese developers left who understand the (to westerners, foreign) code and tools, after closing Japan Studio and firing everyone, and FromSoftware is busy making new games. Gravity Rush 2 is probably being worked on by one guy, lol.

I think Sony is maybe obsessed with Metacritic score and so not releasing the remaster of bloodborne.

I honestly don't think I'd even play a PC version of Bloodborne if it was a remaster by Bluepoint unless they used all the same assets and gameplay and just upped the resolution and FPS. Fuck that soulless garbage they did to Demons Souls. Have you guys seen the concept art for that remaster? It's fucking terrible.

Playing it right now on ShadPS4, and the game really is stable as long as you play don't play with a resolution higher than 720p. Constant 60fps are nice too. Wish it could higher, but oh well. We'll get there.

Also, Dark Souls 3 truly must have felt like a cheap asset flip for everyone who played BB before DS3. I see a lot of shared assets, animations, and basically the whole starting area in the city feels like Yharnam. The enemies seem to be way more aggressive too. Definitely way more aggressive than the enemies in the Souls series. I had a true Demons Souls Red Knight moment with the two werewolf dogs on the bridge. These things constantly ripped me a new one.

The saw cleaver stuns them as long as you have stam and the tricked "spin to win" move of the hunter axe works wonders too. There's a nearby "choke point" spot at a doorway you can trap the two two wolves and you can kill them easily. I do this to get early weapon upgrades.

My PC sucks ass so the most stability ive gotten is with 30 fps and no resolution changes. I CAN play 60 fps but I find the game's performance very un-even, its much smoother for locked at 30. Thank god im upgrading to a new card with 20 gigs of vram soon (current one is 8).

And I agree to the sentiment of fuck Bluepoint, I had a ps5 for a month and played the remake. In terms of pure fidelity it is indeed beautiful but it reeks of soulless and I hate how monsters like the fat officials are plague marines in top hats now because le black face too problematic for gaijin. Sold it not too long ago to go toward a new GPU. What's most likely going to happen is that BB will get a remake by BP as a launch title for PS6. Sony are tone deaf af but they have to know by now how many people love and will buy BB again. I won't give a shit because by then BB on Shadps4 will be near flawless, only a matter of time.

It uses same upgraded engine and was released exactly 12 months before ds3. So the stuff like hair design on some enemies etc. was very similar.

That being said it's a bit untrue to claim DS3 aped Bloodborne. Sure from birdview it has similar looks but when you actually play those games you quickly see that they are very different in stylization, art design etc.

BB is imho one of the best FromSoft works. The story, design, art, mechanics, bosses, music. Everything clicks so well.

Yeah, I got it running on ShadPS4 too. Going to wait for a few more updates before I do a full playthrough. I've actually got this Bloodborne: Magnum Opus mod all set up and ready to go that I'm pretty excited to check out. It's supposed to add in a lot of cut content that was discovered in the game data, and not in a slipshod way. Also a number of other interesting changes on top of that, including different enemies showing up in locations based on the time of day, restored cut weapons, etc. A great reason for a replay.
