Sic transit gloria mundi))
I talk about one of the first decisions you need to make when creating a new CRPG: what is more important, story telling or player agency?
Most of us are, we just haven't uploaded on YouTube yetHow is this guy so insufferable
Shame more devs don't play to their strengths.Tim abhors storyfaggotry, which isn't surprising because I don't think he could write a compelling story if his life depended on it.

I answer some viewer questions, including:
When in your time of game development have you 'broken the rules'?
If you had to do a non-RPG genre, what would you most like to do? Or, if you had to do a different type of RPG, what would you do different than they usually are?
What are your favorite characters you've seen in games?
What is your take on mundane and grounded settings in games?
Tim would've liked to do a space exploration game with procedural generation.
DAGGERFALL IN SPACE?
Could've been interesting to see.
He also likes Sam and Max as memorable characters. Glados from Portal as well.

Isn’t that Starfield? Someone should ask him if he’s played that game and what he would’ve done differently with it.

Yeah, I was thinking of Starfield as well, but would more than likely not be Tim's kind of game.
No need to imagine. We can just ask Roguey what it's likeimagine breaking into Tim's place and having to sift through all that garbage

I talk about the pros and cons of fast travel in games...and why you probably need to include it in your game.

Mark and Recall were alright.Fast Travel is 100% decline. Limited, very limited mark and recall (gate) can be ok. Thats the limit though. Abundant Fast Travel and Horse Armour are two easily identifiable points of real serious decline.
Naming things in games is a really important process and often overlooked. Let's look at it.
