If you watch this video from august 2018, at 8:30 you can clearly hear that the game was originally set 1 year after Johny Silverhands death, where he was still part of the ''childhood'' hero system and was mostly background lore.

No wonder the game feels like a complete mess in terms of story pacing, characters and nonexistent choices, the morons changed the entire story in the last 2 years when they aproached that talentless hack Keanu.

We can blame it all on Keanu, but you'd think at some point during development the devs could have managed to make some quests that ween't braindead, I doubt such things got reworked alongside the Keanu Chungus includion. (The "quest that's nteresting in a gameplay way" count still remains at a solid 1 when I reached "the point of no return" and lost the will to play)

I don't know who to laugh at first - the video's author, the kids who think they won the Internet by abusing crafting in a single player game, or CDPR's pathetic forum staff who seems to be losing it at a rate faster than someone who invested his life savings in CDPR stock:

I strongly disagree, you get a good sense of life in NC, particularly gang life, from all that flavour text - there are some quite sad little stories there.

There are some well written texts and shit with decent ideas, and some of them are in unique locations. Overall though, in a game this huge with this many things to do and a level cap, I think I'd stick to the more worthwhile content. I'm such a sci-fi/cyberpunk setting whore that I might 100% this dumb game, but for the average dude looking for an open world Deus Ex experience and then moving on? I'd stick to the yellow icons, for sure.

Also this game was in the oven since 2011 according to this video.

Almost 9 fucking years for 15 hours of main quest, tedious side quests and Keanu delivering the most bland and flat lines that would make Kristen Stewart envious. This has to be a prank from the big guy upstair, i see no other explanation for this monumental fuckup.:negative:

the game seems cut to pieces like 6month-1 year ago, from all the things that was announced and shown, but cut.

they frontloaded everything in the first hour of so of gameplay.

The maelstrom mission with different outcomes, u never see that type of mission ever again.

The MaxTAC and trauma team are cool, but literally unused and u never see them in action again in any shape or form that matters... wtf

its funny because outer worlds was a medicore game, but still heaps ahead of CP 2077 in terms of replayability and C&C, but the rest was bad. CP 2077 has alot more going for it, but doesnt have the C&C and replayability that outer worlds had.

u just can't win, can you?

Outworlds is absolutely mind numbing boring written by a bunch of autists and starbucks tier hipsters whom think gen z speech makes them cooool. Lets not go over this argument anyway. The world building and the story telling in this game is leagues above anything obsidian put out in the last decade.

Lmao, isn't this the same issue that Skyrim had at launch? It was called memory leak or something. The more you played the game the bigger the save file became, increasing the possibility of getting the file corrupted. I think it's the same shit.

Not that I'm disputing anything you said, but the worldbuilding comes straight out of the tabletop RPG for the most part.

Wish I could break Goro vision of Arasaka and turn him into a rebel too. But sadly no option for that, you have a conversation where you start shaking his worldview but you never return to that
When is this conversation? When you scout the Arasaka compound?
Yep
he talks about his childhood in Japan, how he was raised in basically an open sewer. Start talking about his career, but you have the option to say that the world still in deep shit due to the corps, you notice he relunctanly say that you can't fix everything in one day
That's one of the worst things of the game, it think it can do cyberpunk and be apathic about everything because "it's not a political game".

It's not just that I wish that I could make everyone into anarchists or communists and burn down Night City, you can't embrace the system and turn into a corpo either. There should be an ending about joining Arasaka. FFS, it's cyberpunk, you could put Johnny into the Arasaka dude's body and let him destroy the system from inside, or become Arasaka and rule forever.

But nope, the cyberPUNK game says that you shouldn't have ANY ideology or dreams, just go lay low in the country side or whatever. That's why both Johnny endings are ridiculous, in both he goes "why was I a rebel? Oh, it's because I'm a huge fucking poser, I should just have enjoyed life". It's the most cowardly writing/directing ever, a rebel written by people who hate rebels.

The whole fucking game I hoped to bomb the Night City again, just to get Johnny become what? The very thing he hated, mindless fucker who only cares about his life.

And oh, how much I wish you could converse with characters and influence them (Takemura).

Whole story feels like they cut it in the middle.

This is some crazy shit! I have never heard of this before. Cyberpunk 2077 is a mystery! What happened in those 3 years?

Bugs that kill your saves?

What's funny is that the thing that pisses me off is how damn bad the music is used and how much is lacking.

seriously when companies do this I have to say WTF. Composers are morons didn't even get involved. To focused on Witcher 4.

Yea Act 2 to Act 3 seems like a giant chunk of story is missing. I hate bloated over long games, but this one feels majorly truncated, which is especially bad if you are making an open world game that is supposed to be a single 100+ hour playthrough. Dunno any stats but Im pretty sure most normal people tend to stick to one character when they play a game. Its mostly Codex Autists that have do 7 full playthroughs and then complain they hated every minute of it.

Now I dont know whether to just smash through and finish MQ and start new character. The stupid "URGENT" storyline has killed my enthusiasm to wander round the city (and the corrupted save if your save file is to big doesnt help...). But I think I would prefer to save new character for after LOTS of patching and some DLC have been added (and mods).

This is the worst thing that can happen. When you piss off investors. When you lose their money from your own promises as a company.

That was what a 1.8 billion drop after Sony stopped selling it.

That's serious shit!

Yes CD Project Red could be bought by someone in the future.

Has anyone else had the experience that there are a lot more weird physics events in 1.05 than in 1.04? The physics seems to go all wonky for a moment when things spawn in - like balsa wood cars suddenly appearing and bouncing around, clutter stuff smashing for no obvious reason, etc.

CD Project Red!!!

Was it posted here before? Development timeline from some guy who's uncle works at nintendo.

sounds pretty close except it was in 2019 that others were being hired to do music for Cyberpunk 2077 but guess what!

After checking out 20 hours of game play that music is no where to be found!

I'm seeing more up to the start of the hotel mission in the intro, but it's such a buggy game that I've no idea whether I'm just running into what other people have been describing as their 'normal' before and I got lucky before in not seeing/noticing it too much. It's like I'm pretty sure there's undocumented changes to the loot table (much fewer clown costumes, far more wearable leathers etc.) and to the ad cycle (not so much censorship but just ads replaced with others). But the truck landing from the sky, trying to copy the couple of militech AVs which had just landed, did make me jump.

Another typical example would be, "Why are you against speshul pronouns, don't you want to be polite to people?"

This is textbook "weaponized compassion".

Why the fuck waste resource with genitalia if you are going to cover and censor anyways?:despair:

You could ask the same about all the pronouns. They were only meant to generate hype and soy-o faces.

You can the problem is that its in poor taste when something bad happens and your immediate thought is "how to I make money from this" which is exactly what Gibson did and he even admits it when talking about why the story changed.
I would've been fine if he'd just kept it alternate reality where 9/11 never happened like he was originally going to. There was no reason to change the story he just did it so he could complain about it in his book like he does with Twitter now because he started using his novels as just an over glorified blogpost and I get the impression he still does.

If we look at Deus Ex it depicted a terrorist attack but didn't change its vision because a political event occurred recently. In the modern times they most assuredly would've changed this post release and we would've been worse for it.

If you want to know for certain if something was created only for money, never trust the authors' babbling, instead just find out if they were broke at the time of the creative process and you have your answer.

Lol, allegedly, the "modesty patch" which was actually "not a bug" but "artistic intent" happend because Walmart refuses to seel Adult Only-rated materials. Clowns.

Dismembered corpse on a surgery table: Fine
Tiddies on a healthy living woman: OH MY GOD

Why didn't they simply release different versions like with Witcher 1 - a cut North-American version and an uncut international one? No wait, it's the consoles of course - Witcher 1 was a PC exclusive. Those fucking Sony and Microsoft get to dictate the rules. If you want to get their kind of profits, all platforms must get the same shittified version.

Lol, sorry if this has been posted already. The drama goes on, the corpowar is near, guns of December:

CDPR chose their bedfellows, and they chose poorly :mixedemotions:

cdspujco88661.jpg

Why make lame-ass Judy a romance option but not best bouncer? CDPR can't do anything right.
She'd put the punk in cyberpunk all on her own.

Then again, Goro would probably fall for her because she knows all the best Jap food spots in town.

Japs trying to speak engrish sound like people who were born deaf.
