What's the Film Grain setting for? Threshold so you don't sharpen aliasing artifacts? I applied your suggestion but went with DeepOcean's recommended setting for 0.30 Film Grain, and I do feel like it's improved the picture, cut some of the DLSS fog, but I didn't take screenshots for side-by-side comparison.
The game has a film grain effect, you can shut it down on the game but when you use the Nvidia Panel, the settings in there override the ones on the game. So, if you wish to change sharpness, you will have film grain enabled as default and the result is an awful image if you go for more agressive sharpness. It seems that sharpness also sharpen the film grain effect creating alot of visual noise, the ignore film grain option tells the game to ignore the film grain bs. I have an agressive 0.80 sharpness and 0.3 ignore film grain and it works for me. The image doesnt look that blurry anymore for me.
Thanks, that clears it up! I suppose the appropriate values might be down to resolution as well, I'll fiddle some more with it tomorrow and see where I get.

Seems like baths or showers aren't a thing in Night City

Night City, nothing but a breeding ground for tranks, lobos and zipheads.

I ain't locking anything to 30 FPS dipshit.

This shit is unacceptable.

Did Witcher 3 play smooth at launch? That's right. Either way it's unrealistic to expect GPUs that are older than the released game, to perform well. W3 is smooth as silk, but then my GPU is newer than it is. Right now the minimun for smooth CP77 graphics whoring is a 3xxx series RTX, or AMD equivalent.

Fellow jew-raelis. What the hell happened in March 2020?!?
Yeah, this is quite the trend in the last few years. You could make good money buying stocks a month before release and selling it just a few hours before it release. Their stocks always plummet after a released of AAA game. Hmm curious if CoD still have the sell power of old.

Well every cod is a dumpster fire since modern warfare. The question is if it sold well. Looking at their stocks,it must have,or at least according expectations.

flabbyjack as for march.....corona chan hit.....and delays. It was great time invest in it :). Such temporary hicups are a good way to make some dosh.

Stealth is bad reeeee 1!!1!

Wow, that's actually really cool that you can stealth right past that boss fight there. I made it about halfway through that area with stealth before I got caught and decided to go with the flow and start blasting. It's a great video showcasing the possibilities of stealth gameplay, especially if you've played that area as a stealth character yourself.

On another note, the potential for mods with this game is insane. Hopefully we get something akin to the Witcher 3 Enhanced Edition mod.

And on the subject of V. I really haven't found him to be particularly edgy. He generally acts like a friendly guy most of the time so far in my game.

I believe they put this part about hacking/cheating already thinking about the multiplayer version of Cyberpunk - same with a lot of things in there. Which doesn't make so much sense since it's supposed to be totally separate game and could have a separate user-agreement. But I could be wrong, we will find out quickly in the next weeks because no doubt hacks and cheats will be released for this game.

Still, a lot of absurd things here. For a company that is always said to be "pro-consumer" (lol), this user-agreement is really reaching levels very similar to EA/Ubisoft/Etc. It will be hilarious if someone ends up being banned from the singleplayer game for hacking, the butthurt would be immeasurable. What almost makes me want CDPR to do this, then we really will see the city burn.

So I played for another hour last night, completing the first mission and the ride home. Here’s a few updates from the bug front:

  • First mission mostly went smoothly, until I had to pull the chick out of the bath. Whenever I looked down at her she would fly out of my hands and float on the ground in front of me. She continued to do this all the way through the scene while I was carrying her to the chopper.
  • Jackie walked straight through the lift door as we were leaving the building.
  • The scavenger’s van drove straight through us, and it was a low poly model to boot. When the back doors opened, the scavengers just stood there blankly, pointing their guns at the car but not shooting.
  • All throughout the chase scene the sound effects on my gun (shooting and reloading) never synced properly.
  • When we got to the police checkpoint, the female officer looked blocky and low poly, kind of like a lego man. The bots and the trucks blocking the way also didn’t spawn in until a good minute after we stopped.
  • The first sentence Jackie was supposed to say to the cop to charm her never came up. The subtitles came up but he never spoke the line. Instead, he just randomly shouted “chingado!”.

I’m fucking loving this shit. Not sure why I have so many bugs compared to other people, probably my absolute potato of a machine.

As Euros they really should know better. Then again it might well be that the EU legislation is on their side as long as it serves the fight against "extremism" / privacy.

Is killing people with hacks via the cameras an intended gameplay experience?
You can just hide behind a box, hack a camera, and then go around systematically murdering every person within range of the camera network while they stand around going "Huh? Huh? What? Who's there? Huh?"
Like you'd think they would shut the camera off or shoot it or something after awhile. But no, they just stand around while they get slowly (really slowly these fucking hacks take forever to recharge) killed off one by one.
