And was already incredible annoying for a side quest. Would gladly have less time with Keanu Reeves and more time with Misty, Viktor, Evelyn, Takemura, Rogue and others.

Johnny Silverhand is basically this but for the whole game.
You don't even know how accurate this is. Playing the game doing side content shit I wished Keanu was less involved throughout the game, otherwise it's obvious CP2020 AO3-tier fanfic not unlike the joke text we can find during Gig: Psychofan.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
Witcher 1 was the last hope of them ever really doing an actual RPG and they completely noped out of it going forward, favoring action instead. It's just a fact.

I don't even know what that means. TW1 being great has nothing to do with the gameplay - the combat is both a horrible monstrosity mechanically and piss easy at the same time, the itemization p. much boils down to picking herbs for potions you're never gonna use and the chardev is just fine for the RPG-lite storyfag adventure that all Witcher games are but nothing more.

TW1 is great bc of the distinctive tone, lore and worldbuilding, doing its own thing and not giving a single shit about all the worn-out Western fodder fantasy tropes and sensibilities.

My guess would be:

  • Ripperdocs Expansion = new cyberware
  • Body Shops Expansion = vehicle customisation
  • Fashion Forward Expansion = new shit to wear
  • Gangs of Night City = new side quests/better simulation of gang behaviour (turf fights etc)
  • Body of Chrome = new cyberware?
  • Rides of the Dark Future = new vehicles
  • The Relic = some story shit maybe
  • Neck Deep = some story shit maybe
  • Night City Expansion = some simulation improvements, ie. new events happening in the city
  • Unnamed

my guesses
  • Ripperdocs Expansion
  • Body Shops Expansion
  • Fashion Forward Expansion
  • Body of Chrome
either useless cosmetics (it's a first-person game lol), or a new cyberware that doesn't work because of bugs, or a new cyberware that barely matters because RPG systems are shit
  • Rides of the Dark Future
new cars, who cares
  • Night City Expansion
  • Gangs of Night City
more ubisoft-style garbage side activities
  • The Relic
  • Neck Deep
  • Unnamed
stuff that was cut from the game.

honestly i think these dlcs sound promising. if the ripperdocs expansion not only adds some new useful cyberwear but also fixes the ones that are currently not working or pointless that'd be a step forward. the body shops expansion could also be adding a garage for your car on top of car customization.
fashion forward hopefully doesn't just add new clothes but revamps the whole system (at least add a transmog feature). gangs of night city could be a turf war sidegame or something. gangs barely do anything in the base game so them fighting for territory would make night city feel a little more alive for sure. body of chrome, even more cyberware? rides of the dark future might actually be the dlc that adds a garage, don't think it's going to add traffic AI though. i also think the relic and neck deep is story stuff, hopefully a quest of par with the river or peralez questline and not just more shitty gigs. no idea what night city expansion is, maybe they open up the parts in pacifica you can't go to or it will add some side stuff to do in night city who knows. if all this comes true and i know i'm being very optimistic here and the game gets 3 blood & wine tier story expansions i think the complete edition of cyberpunk 2077 could really turn out to be a 7-8/10 in a couple years.

Wasn't that the plan until Keanu told them he wanted do more and CDPR management all fangirl'ed over him?

Yes cos clearly MORE STUFF is what this game needs
????

When is more content a bad thing? Especially if most of it is probably adding more customization options with new gear, cars, cyberware etc.? Arent mods made by fans just MORE STUFF? Look at shitstesda modding community to know what fanboys want and the anwser is MORE STUFF.

Yet again, not playing a game on release has proven to be a fortunate choice. Seriously, people - this has been going on since at least 1995. How many decades do you need to learn to WAIT with playing an RPG until it's fixed post-launch?

Add content that makes the game deeper, not wider.

The Peralez quest line was a cool bit of narrative, but I'd rather the game work up its level design with a "megadungeon" expansion of sorts, whether it's free or paid-for. Deus Ex 4 went from solid to superb level design between its OC and A Criminal Past, respectively, and CDPR aping Eidos Montreal now would still be a case of better late than never. CBP's systems, shoddy as they are, can nonetheless support much better than 5-minute "raid this 30m² studio flat" miniquests.

That's exactly what they are doing though. Deeper itemization & co. rather than new half-assed features.

Make a Dredd style side quest about a raid on this megabuilding.

True, everyone and their grandmothers are jizzing in their pants about how big and deep Night City when it's open world nature actually hinders level design. Many of the missions are happening inside Deus Ex: Invisible War-tier small locations.

Yes, funnily enough, 2012's Dredd was exactly what I was thinking about as a possible example. Relatively easy to implement into Night City and it provides a generous microcosm for a proper megadungeon, just build to leverage mechanics to potential.

It makes sense for small time gigs to take place in rather small locations like night clubs or apartments and you have bigger locations like that Arasaka industrial complex you have to infiltrate during the main quest or wraiths camp during panam side quest but you are right it would be good to have more bigger locations.
