So not only it was a failure for 2020 and 2021, CDPR is trying once more to have Cyberpunk 2077 be a failure in 2022?

I am downloading the update but still expect teleporting cops, pinball cars bouncing of dead bodies and handcrafted fedex errands. It took them over a year for patch 1.1 yay!

GOTY.

  • It's now possible to mute the NCPD dispatcher and fixer brief/debrief holocalls. This automatically skips the call and sends you text messages instead. You can customize this feature in Settings > Gameplay > Holocalls. By default, the NCPD dispatcher is muted and fixers are unmuted.

That was the most painful thing to me.

  • V now has standing with fixers throughout Night City. New fixer gigs will appear gradually in sets as your standing increases, and a fixer will offer you another set of gigs only after the previous set is completed in a given district. Completing all the gigs for a fixer will earn you a special reward (excluding Mr. Hands - sorry, he just doesn't like you, choom.) To see the progress of your standing with a fixer, hover over their icon on the map screen and check the completed gigs
And now you get new quest from them only when you work with them more instead of them spamming them non stop near some points of interest.
  • Drastically reduced the amount of loot lying around as a part of an effort to allow players more breathing room to experience quest scenes and the world itself.

Also i think this is the first game to ever use it:

  • Enabled Variable Rate Shading (VRS). This feature boosts rendering performance and visual quality by varying the shading rate for different regions of the frame. Available only on compatible hardware.

Died a little on the inside watching that.

That stream was horrible. 2 women who barely play game and barely know what is going on. Sasko who tries to be constructive and some fag that can't even string together two sentences together. And it didn't look like it was scripted as they bounced around randomly often forgetting to continue what they were talking about.

Either way PATCHNOTES

Mentioned on stream that there are a lot of things that are not in patch notes like bugfixing of different things.

The fixers fix was something that was a no brainer and had been proposed ever since release, I'm glad it's in but sad that it's in that late. Together with the map UI fixes it could make the game significantly more enjoyable for those who haven't 100%-ed the side content by now.

i don't know i kinda liked it. new game plus, the metro and a transmog system are still missing and the world is still kinda dead but when you think about it, with one or two more patches of this size and 2 big expansions i think the incline will be big enough to make the experience once everything is out a 8/10 or so and that's all anyone could have hoped for after the game launched and it wasn't the dream game everyone had in their minds from years of hype

I had to stop watching the video, it was just too painful.

Yeah fixer gigs change is the best thing, next best thing the new crowd behaviour; otherwise it's mostly small QOL things which seem inconsequential individually, and probably fairly inconsequential in toto - but nice all the same. Underwhelming, but still a step forward.

On checking the patch notes, and the way the various aspects of the game are spread out, it feels like they've got a team and it's moving forward. Hopefully it has a vision and it'll gather the momentum it needs - the fixer change seems to show they're aware of some, at least, of what they have to do.

Wonder if these will include new cybernetic implant skins as well. Having a Maelstrom-looking character would be neat.
Nah, they'd have mentioned something like that on-stream, but they were only talking about makeup and hair colour and stuff. Maybe you'll have some extra options for facial cyberware, but nothing more extensive.

I like the fixer gigs to progression change (is that general progression or Street Cred?) - but that's just one of many things they'd have to change to make it more of an RPG.
Neither, fixers will have their own progression stat. If you complete the first Gigs for them, they'll give you more. The devs said you'll get some additional rewards when you complete each one's laundry list.

every time I enter this thread, I congratulate myself for having the backbone to not touch this game while I laugh at you peasants and at your weakness for falling for the hype.
Wait, aren't you a Star Citizen customer?

I told you guys this is just gonna be a big patch, it was bizarre seeing all that hype. All CDPR can do at this point is make CBP a better mediocre game, anything more than that would involve magic lamps and a whole lot of rubbing.

Metro Exodus EE (latest version with ray tracing only) has it. I know, because I just tested it and was not sure what it was.

I know i shouldn't be nitpicking shit at these point but like..

All this shit about buying appartment , playing guitar, incences, etc is kinda pointless when the story is literaly about slowly dying and have literaly weeks remaning. It's obviously all this shit is to appeal for the GTA crowd.
yea they kind of backed themselves in a corner with that storyline. All you can really do is just convince yourself you're not actually gonna die and it's all fake news. Too bad there wasnt some way to replace the dialog so the new storyline is your character needing to buy up new apartments around the city and become night city real estate legend, and johnny silverhands is a helpful google AI that gives you real estate advice

Started game from new just to see changes in prologue.

- HDR now works much better than it used to if you have HDR. Previously you had to really crank up some HDR settings to see anything and some of the stuff was overdone like lcd posters hurting your eyes.

- Thanks to FSR i can run it in 4k on Ultra with around 40-45ish fps. It is not only FSR though. Game did receive some small bump in performance probably due to VRS (Variable Rate Shading) mentioned in patch notes. Previously it was doing around 25fps in 4k at ultra which was unplayable to me.

- Jackie still has janky animations driving car.

- Internet is now more interactive. Previously if i remember correctly internet was just like 5-6 pages and that is it. Now there are links on pages you can follow and they describe for example various clubs in city and where they can be found, places to visit etc. Other thing i noticed is that for some reason computer display got downgraded and now they are low res.

- They finally fixed V sleeping animation in house in prologue. Bug was still present in 1.3. Now V correctly lies down to sleep.

- When MaxTac arrived in prologue scene and started sweeping NPCs around started to run away in various directions realistically. Previously they would hardly move around and mostly just cover in fear.

Dumb, right? While I doubt the apartments and associated interactions occupied many dev resources (solo modders have been doing this stuff for a while now), it was rather deflating to see how much of the stream they dedicated to such a trivial feature set. So many months of radio silence and that's the highlight of your reveal event?

Honestly, I'd have sooner had car customisation, you know, paintjobs and stuff. Just as trivial for gameplay purposes, but at least it's something you get to see on a regular basis. Aside from the mandatory story stops, I think I visited V's pad like two or three times beginning to end, and I can't remember why. Giving me an "XP buff" for sleeping or whatnot ain't gonna make me trek up for it either.

Ok, I need to ask you an important question...

Can you rebind F?

So their new marketing trope is "You love this city or you want to burn it"...

Capitalising the poor reception of the game adding and fixing things it's an interesing and smart approach. But I hope it doesnt stops here.

Every few months I pop into this thread, read a little, ask a bunch of questions that roughly amount to 'is it good yet?' and leave disappointed.
Just never expect anything. Everything is shit unless proven otherwise.
