Finally got around to playing the Corpo start. It blows the other two out of the water. So much pizzazz. A peak behind the enemy lines. Especially if you already did the secret ending. Really makes you want to role-play as a corpo for the entire game. Too bad there is barely any simulation for any type of occupation in Night City.

Nomad start is also good. You immediately get to drive around in an open space and the Mad Max scenery is attractive.

Street Kid start I don't even remember.

The game needs content with serious side quests not this shitty jobs fixers give you. They have a huge map with almost nothing to do. I don;t know why they did not went the Witcher 3 route with the side-quests/contracts. To me it seems they blew money on Keanu(alos screwed the orignal story) and did not have enough left for voice acting nedeed for a decent number of side-quests. They introduced the "gigs" abomination trying to fool people that you have a lot of things to do in the game.

How the fuck do you screw up this bad while having a good formula in Witcher 3? Not even a sabotage job from a rival company would have screwed CDPR how they managed to it themselves. They had the chance to take over the market after Bethesda and Bioware screwed up with Fallout 76 and Andromeda.

Where did Cyberpunk fail as a game? Which aspect of gameplay, story , city, quests, ... would you change for the better?
Side quests and the prologue(half year skyp was lame) should be a priority. The main quest is should be longer.

"gigs" and ton of outdoors + cinematic indoors with noticeable quality jump were co-production with outsource studio that's working on their own game by now so that's that.

Early parts of the game got thrown together into a one minute action packed video.

The city is completely dead, and too big for its own good. Witcher 3 also had a "dead" world, but most of that is wilderness.

Level restricted loot, and special/unique items not being great.

Faction wise, there wasn't much happening there. In a cyberpunk setting, with different factions, you would hope for them to play a more important role.

The game was a technical mess at launch. And there were some weird things, like how the police would crawl up your bum from nowhere.

Honestly, the main story wasn't all that bad. I kind of liked it and alot of the side missions had heart and cool stuff, too.

People expected it to be next-level GTA like open world sandbox non-liniear crpg in a cyberpunk universe, it failed to deliver that spectacularly, and people got mad.

If you want it, I'd recommend you keep waiting for more patches and mods to fix it. At that time the game will probably be cheaper anyway.

Because that is how CDPR was selling it. They promised a product and then failed to deliver said product. CDPR set those expectations themselves, not the "people".

This game is like a better playing fallout 3 combined with 2007 GTA IV ripoff-itis. It also always feels good to just blow through these high-dollar games knowing that fuckers lost millions of BUCKS on shit that you're just hammering through 54yu
