Yea, that totally fixes the problems with this game.
Well Cyberpunk 2077 shows how fucking stupid people are.
It sure is nice that CD Projekt had not given up and kept working on the game.
But the game is not even close to anywhere what they showed in videos,
nor what they talked about what the game will be like.

Yeah, no shit.
It's almost exactly how they treat their customers like a bunch of brain dead consoomer imbeciles, just like every other major company/corporation does?

Welcome to "Behind the Settings" — a new series where we dive into the technical details of our games!

In our first episode, Joao Pedro de Mello (Senior Player Experience Specialist), together with his guests — Cezary Bella (Graphics Programmer), Jakub Knapik (Global Art Director) and Giovanni de Francesco (Senior Technical Lighting Artist), will give you an introduction to the upcoming technology preview of Ray Tracing: Overdrive Mode, included in patch 1.62, by discussing DLSS 3 and path tracing.

Gameplay footage captured on a PC with the following configuration:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7900X 12-Core Processor 4.70 GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090
RAM: Kingston Fury DDR 5 128 GB (4X32GB)
All in-game graphics settings are maxed out and resolution set to 4K.

Disclaimer: Game footage was recorded using an external capture device. Footage was recorded at 3840x2160 and 60Hz. When unlocking fps, VSync had to be disabled, so screen tearing may occur.

Witcher 3 is holding up shockingly well. Yeah, there was the TV show and all, but still.

Cyberpunk was hyped to the max and it worked because a lot of people bought it before they could see that the game was a disaster . It had like 8+ mil pre-orders and 20 mil total sold in total. Witcher 3 has like 40mil.
Cyberpunk cost was 180mil while Witcher 3 around 80mil. Their reputation took a big hit due to Cyberpunk but they made a lot of money. Their next game will suffer and that's why their next game will be a Wichter game with Geralt to rope in the fans who are having doubts afert the Cyberpunk. The CDPR loyal stans will buy any game no matter how shit it is just like the Bethesda idiots.

Looking forward to this and seeing what kind of performance I can get with DLSS3 frame generation and optimized settings at 4K. Who knows what settings they're running in the video.

Nice ratings cope.

I said it before. Original raytracing implementation still used weird dynamic static GI. So it was very weird in how it worked. On some scenes it improved quality of image by leaps and bounds like inside of cars but on other hand in places like clubs etc. you could hardly see it working at all where you think it should work the most and change scene the most.

It was similar with sun. You could see it in some places casting proper GI but in some scenes it was tuned down/switched off. It was really weird implementation that had to use underlying baked GI for realtime to latch on.

That being said. Full path tracing ? In modern game ?

3090 is doing about 40fps at 4k with all raytracing and DLSS. With path tracing i fully expect something like 10fps maybe even less on 3090. 4090 has double power and improved raytracing hardware so it is possible for it to reach 30fps in that mode and double framerate with dlss3 which gives you locked 60.

I think it should also solve the issue i was talking above. With original GI removed completely as well as cubemaps it should look a lot better in places where previously raytracing doesn't seem to change much scene.

And DF video is up. Yep huge change. They completely removed all fake lights. It is huge difference compared to even Psycho RT mode from before and it fixed most of weird issues with lighting (like too bright people at times)

I imagine Nvidia tossed some incentive here. I mean, it's nice. Comes at the cost of selling your kidney to buy a 4090, but still.
