This topic makes me genuinely glad that I don’t play games anymore and that the money I have are much better spent on a new turntable rather than a gaming rig. I remember this confusion from 2006 when playing Oblivion for the first time. “Eh, what’s wrong? Does this game suck or is it me? Do I enjoy this? I’m not sure…” And then countless forum posts debating every aspect of the game, people trying to convince themselves it’s great, insults, warnings from mods – everything being so futile, everything but actually playing and enjoying the game like in the old days. What a tragic image.

If i had enough money[and i could pass psychological test in my country] i would surely ditch gaming for shooting guns. You won't find SJW tard on range, shooting is straightforward -there's no postmodernism bullshit that can be applied, like "you can't say that trigger is pulled, it's a complex issue, there's no white and black".

It honestly baffles me just how terrible this game is. I can deal with bugs, glitches, shit graphics, animations etc, even the occasional crash is forgiveable if it's not frequent. But holy shit this game is such a clunky broken piece of shit, absolutely nothing feels good gameplay wise, it feels like they just grabbed ideas from other financially successful games and just mashed them together with some neon lights and called it a game. Night City is the most uninspired, lifeless open world I've ever seen and I cant believe this is what they came up with after all these years.

I'm not a witcher fan by any means so I had zero expectations for this anyway, but it's so much worse than I ever could've imagined. What a colossal piece of garbage.

Do you ever run out of gigs to do? Better implants cost quite a bit and running around doing jobs is so far the fastest way to get cash.

Um, is it immersive to have a TM (Trademark) next the name of the enemy that the game wants you to hack?

So, ok, they've got this system where many of the the side-quests are supposed to be interwoven with the main quests, and affect the main quest. There's a kind of internal logic that flows according to where you are in the MQ (I think they call it the "token" system) that's supposed to introduce those interweaving side-quests at appropriate moments. THIS is actually what I think is a bit broken about the game, and not quite WAI, and I suspect it's actually the problem they've been most frantic about. It's a great idea in principle, and when it works it's great, but it's not working very well - yet.
Haven't seen a single side-quest that affects the main quest in any way so far. Played like 30 hours i guess. All quests from the "fixers" are shit-tier: kill all baddies\steal something and get money. (Btw haven't found much use for money in this game so far, vendors sell the same level-capped randomly generated trash that the enemies drop).
Non-main quests from other acquaintances may be a bit better but they are just flavor with zero bearing on the main quests. Like "go to funeral", "take part in shooting competition" etc.

I speak of the way that the player is constantly interrupted by side-quest requests, a non-trivial number of which call for quite prompt action, or even have specific timing requirements. It's starting to get really annoying, and it feels way overtuned. Maybe half a dozen times now, I've been in a situation where a bunch of side-quests come tumbling in one after the other at really inappropriate moments, even to the point where the dialogue for them is interfering with the dialogue for whatever you're currently doing - even to the point of there being a mini-cascade of them (i.e. you're engaged in dialogue for one quest, then another comes in, then another).

Now to my mind THAT's a serious problem that really breaks the sense of immersion that they're looking for. It's incredibly jarring and I think they've got to fix it.

An analogy is when you're waiting for a bus then all of a sudden 4 come along at once. Something's awry with the timing, and intuitively it feels to me like it's some kind of CPU bottleneck problem, where "go" signals are being temporarily stored so the CPU can deal with other things, so that a bunch of "go" signals are left cooling their heels, and then given out all at once. Or perhaps things are getting stuck in a loop and then the logjam is all being released at once.
I think these quests are being dumped on the player when he enters a region that given "fixer" operates in.

It's worth it at it's current price. Unlike Night City, you will never get tired of Magalan. When you get it, I hope you enjoy it.

Oh fuck, i didn't expected this game to be here - it's hilarious that people back when it was released actually liked it. When i watched some gameplays of it, it looked like Gothic 2 but with sci-fi setting and ENB preset. Sadly, it's still there...

Can't wait for downvotes. For some reason /r/pcgaming is sucking this game's cock harder than the official CP subreddit. Probably graphicsfags who need to jerk off to the visuals and justify their 3090 purchase.

Thanks for fighting the good fight, but why do people even bother with reddit though? If I always wanted the most boring, mainstream, NPCish normie take on every topic, I can just talk to my friends and coworkers in real life.
