im stuck. Playing solo sneaky techie. Cant survive easy combat encounters anymore.
Made it to habitat. Pretty similar to what Im used to from EA. Cleared shuttlebay - moses in charge.
Cant progress far for any faction - my combat and speech skills are not existent.
What I remember from EA was that I was still able to talk with church leader. However right now im not allowed to - blocked due to too low rep.
Any pointers?
consumables are powerful so might be able to cheese some encounter with those (stasis/pulse/disruptor/upgraded basic ones)

Yeah to say that the last quarter of the game is unfinished would be an understatement. Literally: Dialogue-skill check-teleport. Repeat. Therefore the main plot twist is absolutely meaningless and got no impact on anything. Surely in seven years they could have written some more dialogues so you could discuss this "plot twist with some other characters. All in all graphics and art design are very good. Music is amazing. Some dialogues and combat encounters are good. But most of them are bland. Exposition and walls of text. Stupid and unnecessary use to improve game mechanics. Writing is meh, almost no memorable characters. Quests and reactivity is decline compared to AoD. Last but not least- woke shit. 6.5/10. About the same as Encased but not as good as Trudograd and sure as hell not nearly the same level as Underail. Disappointing.

After playing through the first half of Colony Ship, I was left without much of an urge to continue, but wasn't sure why, so I went back to The Age of Decadence to get a better sense of the differences.
I was immediately struck by the personality in AoD's dialogue. The deceitful and cynical Feng, the dramatic storyteller in the inn, and the overzealous cultist by the fountain. Three distinct characters each leaving a unique impression in the first ten minutes. In comparison, none of CS's NPCs distinguish themselves nearly as well. Both in their motivation and personality, they blend together and I didn't hold strong feelings toward any of them. None of AoD's characters spent much time in the spotlight, but they often managed to make an impact.
I think that part of my disinterest toward the characters of CS stems from its setting. When I first heard that CS would take place on a generation ship, it piqued my interest, but the developers didn't make good use of it like they did with AoD's setting. AoD's history provided a mystery that could be slowly and partially uncovered by the player throughout multiple playthroughs from multiple perspectives with the help of the NPCs. As your main source of lore, the monologues of AoD's NPCs could simultaneously teach the player about the game's world as well as the character speaking. In contrast, the content of the CS characters' speech is much drier and shorter and often only explains the goal of the player's next quest. Of course, many of AoD's squabbles had little relevance to its lore, but in CS, the conflicts seem to occur in more of a vacuum.
As others have said, your character's place in the world of CS puts some strain on suspension of disbelief. The backgrounds of AoD were a convenient way to quickly involve your character in the game's story and to give him a few established relationships. NPCs first meeting the player were often highly skeptical of him. In CS, the player character gives the impression of a "chosen one". NPCs are quick to trust and involve him in their closely-guarded schemes, sometimes using the contrivance that their enemies won't recognize him as their ally. Because he isn't. My confidence in CS's storytelling wore away when
Nico murdered Jay in the Shuttle Bay for the sole purpose of eliminating potential competition, but simultaneously let the player, a witness and co-conspirator he had just met, leave unscathed.
CS resolves AoD's most egregious technical and visual shortcomings, and that is undeniably a good thing, but at the same time, it also fumbles AoD's greatest and most unique strengths. Even if CS might be evaluated as the better game of the two, I think it's given up the niche that made AoD special to me.
As an aside, I prefer AoD's skill system. I could choose to save a pool of skill points and dump them into whatever skill needed a boost for a check. In SC, I often grope around the game world for an opportunity to increase the specific skill I need and it just becomes a chore. I understand that this system is more realistic, but I think it's misguided unless there's some other problem it solves that I hadn't considered.

It isn't a great solution, but if it's that or fail to ship a game before you run out of money and are forced to shitcan it, I think it's the way to go.
By backloading the teleport stuff, you can (ideally) get someone invested enough in your setting to roll with it and still be engaged. cf. Xenogears disc 2.

tag lockpick instead of evasion
spread some computer xp over to electronics, there is enough to reach 10
tunnelrunner is only required if you want to steal the fuel cell and even there i took it cause i was lazy
i dunno if there is enough xp to reach 10 lockpick and 10 computers, there might not be
one could even try to put the crit strike tag into biotek but thats just fluff imo, i couldnt reach 7 for the console with the check but i dont care

What did you get at level 2 is what I'm trying to understand. Ain't no way you were banking on your feats until you overclocked implants later in the game - that's like mid game content, overclocks, as you don't get access to Eli until ECLSS.

I havent leveled up once on any character, I had every feat and tag available. Until I got the eye for the red door in mission control and the content in there needed 7 electronics to disable the turrets which I couldnt get, at which point I tagged electronics via feat and then skill monkey followed to get 10 comp... and then I quickly ran through the rest of the game without fighting. I still have to do a couple of curious fights for completeness sake - all leveled up but without the gear from 10 comp, though the game does allow you to get it first and then fight...
Toughest fight before I leveld up was probably 4 protectors (i gave the machine to brotherhood) where Eli is. Maybe Regulators in the Arena.
You're missing an important piece of punctuation: the reaction chance gets added to the accuracy of your reaction shots, not your base accuracy. And yes, it does stack with every other source of reaction, pretty easy to get that value up to 100
