CD Projekt Red's mysterious AAA game is actually Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer

CD Projekt Red have officially confirmed that their next AAA title is actually Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer. It will be a standalone experience but it's not coming before 2022.
As you may have noticed by now, Cyberpunk 2077 has been officially delayed to September 2020, which is certainly disappointing to many excited fans but hey, a delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad as one smart man once said.

Anyway, CD Projekt Red held a conference call with shareholders Q&A following the delay news. There's a lot of new details about the promotion of the game and why did the studio pick September 2020 as the release date but the most interesting part was about CD Projekt Red's mysterious AAA title that has been mentioned in previous conference calls.

CD Projekt Red confirmed that their mysterious AAA title is actually Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer. Yes, you read that right, it's not the next Witcher game or a brand new IP, instead, it is a standalone multiplayer experience set in Night City. It will be released once all Cyberpunk 2077 expansions are out, not before.

This will come as a disappointment to many fans of The Witcher franchise, who probably expected a new Witcher game once CD Projekt Red are done with Cyberpunk 2077. This is probably still the case, and a new Witcher game could be the studio's next project after Cyberpunk but there's a lot of work to be done on V's adventure before they even start discussing monsters and magic again.

Here are some of the main points from CD Projekt Red's conference call (thanks GoinXwell1 ):

  • It was a unanimous decision from all board members, project managers and senior devs to delay Cyberpunk to September 17th.
  • They feel confident that it's going to be the actual release date, since they built in some buffers according to themselves and releasing a AAA game in the middle of the summer is just weird.
  • Crunch is sadly something they haven't fully eliminated, but it's less than during Witcher 3's development.
  • CDPR's mystery AAA title they have been talking about to shareholders since 2016 is Cyberpunk 2077's multiplayer. It's likely a standalone experience and singleplayer Cyberpunk will be fully released, expansions and all, before the multiplayer will be out.
  • The multiplayer will likely not be out before 2022.
  • The hands-on preview will be "soon, but not February soon".
  • They will likely be at E3/Gamescom again for more promotions.
  • This one is not exactly confirmed, but one person in the conference call asked how many updates they have planned and mentioned that at least 3 tangible showcases between now and release are necessary to be deemed regular updates.

Didn't CDPR once state something like how them developing the multiplayer aspect of the game would never impact the development of the single player? I find that hard to believe if they're making this an AAA title - by which I'm talking about the budget itself.
Second game will be CP2077 Online, lbecause they love Rockstar cock, with battle Royale mode.

ockstar didn't get micro into GTA5 single because they abandoned it completely after release.
They "abandon" their singple player part of any game after GTA 5 including recent RDR2 so much so, redditards start petitions to add some paid content beyond pre-order bonuses.
Enough with this fallacy bullshit.

RDR2 was in dev before GTA5 released.

idk if this was posted:

  • The game features over 1000 NPCs, all of them have their own unique lives and unique daily routines. This number is much higher than The Witcher 3 which however has a larger area.
  • Many have forgotten the evolution that is the real-time dialogue wheel. Even during a shootout, you can communicate with your allies or talk to your enemies, without the game stopping.
  • The game has no cinematic, everything is in real time and in first person. At no time will you be able to put the controller down, thinking of watching a movie.
  • Silence is a viable response. If you talk to a character and you don't answer, they won't stare at you for ages. Not responding is a form of responding.
  • There are all kinds of romances: from friendship to the classic couple, including a one-night stand or sexfriends, there is something for everyone.
  • It is possible to customize the character's teeth, and even the genitals. For men, you can change the length of the penis and even decide if it is circumcised or not. For women you can also customize the vagina.
  • These customizations can rise certain comments at times in the game and even open up to sections of entire quests.
  • The sex scenes are pretty hard. According to a Russian journalist who saw one, Cyberpunk 2077 "come close to pornography."
  • One hour in real life is 8 hours in Night City. A day on Cyberpunk ingame therefore corresponds to 3 IRL hours. For comparison, a day on Skyrim is 1h20.
  • A bit like GTA 4 and GTA 5, you can go out with characters, drink a beer, play a game, invite them to your home and deepen your bonds (or degrade them). Each of these outings is unique and gives rise to interactive dialogues and choices of answers, and can lead to romances.

GTA went to stardom over Hot Coffe. I wonder though in this day and age if there will be another Jack Thomson to promote CB2077.

This is just opening Pandora's box.

I say this for a while now. CDPR goal is to be next Rockstar. Replicating Rockstar path to success, their methods, etc is their modus operandi right now. Nothing screams controversy than customization of shlong and hard pornographic sex which will rile up a lot of media buzz.

I may be in a minority here, by why the hell would I ever want to do this in a video game?

Could not give less of a fuck about multiplayer, and even if I did give a fuck about it I bet purely cosmetic microtransactions wouldn't bother me anyway.

So customizable genitals, teeth, and hardcore sex scenes. Yes, all the must have features of a true RPG.

I'd rather buy a month of some premium VPN so I can torrent this safely than give money to CDPR.

A lot of people ITT missing the fanboy tag, apparently.

My problem is that no company has the balls to go full penetration. Porn is everywhere, why do games shy away from it?
