Doesn't matter as long as it doesn't revert to DaS1 poise. Though this way the meta will always favor fast weapons.

Best way to get around it is to give UGS a hefty AR buff and reduce phantom range on bestocs and nothin-personel swords. And to give some spells like dark edge hyperarmor.

the problem was that some people didn't play builds that relied on rolling around, so now they fixed it.

They went full retardo with stamina and rolls in 3. Fucking frustrating to invade in 3 when the host can just roll 3000 times with bloodring all the way to the boss fog door. In DS2 where invaders were even more disadvantaged it was easy as fuck to wipe the host out as you could punish heals and rolls. The 111 agility with rollring shittery mostly happened in >SL 200 arena games but at least there you knew you were getting into the nofun zone with 3hit kill katanas and offhand ice rapiers.

Well whole point of red phantoms in DS games are to be side bosses. From get go phantoms are at disadvantage because they can't drink as many estus flask as host and in earlier games they couldn't drink at all. And that is the whole point, they are meant to be "obstacle" on path reaching goal rather than goal itself. This is why you can gank squad.

Now pvp retards who invade and expect proper honor duels are just symptom of game being more popular and being played by carebears that can't fucking even follow their own covenant rules because "muh katana duel pvp, muh honor, muh don't drink estus !!!!111, muh rapiers !"

Most of weapons in DS3 worked out of the box well on monsters and they didn't need to be "balanced" but as usuall whiny pvp queens started lamenting because they though they buy pvp gama rather than single player game with touch of multi for additional SINGLEPLAYER content as in phantoms took role of npcs and some side bosses.

DS1 is perfect example of that thinking where red phantom controlled by human could be literally boss of the game (latria)

All online focused games share one thing in common: diluting systems and gameplay because somethings that work really well in single player (like for example permanent pertification in BG2) doesn't work that well in multi which could cause huge outcry of faggots who would say that this is "too OP". Well that is the point faggot of permanent pertification to be OP.

The more DS games will listen to pvp faggots the less fun they will became.

Hopefully in their next DS like game they will introduce perma pertification that work instantly as expensive usable so online faggots can die screaming from rage. Meanwhile it will work wonderfully in single.
Also hopefully they will introduce some rule binder mechanic that if you don't follow your covenant rules you will be kicked out of it (i am talking to your red phantom pvp queens).

Most of my DS3 online i played as Mound maker and cosplayed as retard who would hit wall and do random stuff to confuse player rather than go kill him. When red phantom would invade then i would hit few times and run away and again do random stuff. Blue sentinel ? Cat and mouse. Annoy fuckers.

No one talked about duelfagging in invasions. The point is that DS3 is extremely scrub friendly when it comes to online. All the host has to do is roll, chug and keep summoning phantoms or just roll to the fog gate where he gets iframes for the whole animation. Invaders don't even pose an obstacle anymore, they are just there to be ganked by dark sword kiddies on discord.

Only issue with that everything in DS3, from healing and rolls to most weapons are way too fast which means that even when you punish mistakes the impact is not that great. (unless if you hornet parry which is the only thing you can do most of the time) In previous titles gameplay was slower and less erratic and so were animations and estus chugging. In DS2 where the invader is far weaker on paper he can still triumph against the odds if he plays well due to the game's mechanics. I farm hosts and their phantoms without issue 9 times out of 10 but in DS3, especially last month where bloodring became a thing, they can just roll roll chug roll roll summon the same sunbro I killed 30 seconds ago and another white.

In fact, with the exception of some bosses, rolls trivialize the PVE content due to how little stamina they cost. Only bosses that are designed around these roll mechanics are Gundyr, SoC and maybe Dancer.

  • The length of the Hammer skill, Perseverance (reduce damage when activated), has been increased
  • Delayed the movement cancel timing of certain medium shields upon guard break
  • Removed the ability to parry when using the skills Blind Spot (Corvian Greatknife, Handmaid’s dagger) and Dancer’s Grace (Dancer’s Enchanted Swords)
  • Adjusted the shield penetration properties of Harpe, Shotel, Crescent Moon Sword, Carthus Shotel, Man Serpent Hatchet and Darkdrift
  • Fixed a bug where sound effects did not play properly when using Lightning Spears in quick succession
  • The attack cancel timing for rapiers equipped in the left hand has been adjusted
  • Several balance issues have been adjusted
  • Flaws have been fixed to improve performance

Let me cast spells without having to wear 4 rings to do any damage.

And let me have the 2 attunement slot ring in a normal way, I don't wanna use cheat engine or wait for 2 years to get enough blueberry summons.

After the disaster of DS2, is 3 worth it? How does it compare to Dark Souls? If I want to play I'll have to upgrade my computer, considering it runs like a slideshow on my GT545.
