You'd think with all the monetization they are releasing a "free to play" game. Everyone should refuse to consider buying D4 until Blitzshart eliminates all monetization other than the retail price.

PC RPG Website of the Year, 2015 Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Insert Title Here RPG Wokedex Strap Yourselves In Codex Year of the Donut
If the game (any game, doesn't matter) had a proper single-player mode that didn't require the player to be online, I'd be content to pay a (small) monthly fee for the online part should I wish to partake. I understand that running servers costs money; this way would at least be much more honest than any of these ptw/cosmetics/whatever schemes.

Not that I'm interested in any Diablo game past 2 but it makes me warm and fuzzy inside to know that Blizzard has priorities even in an early beta build of the game.

honestly think I hate paid cosmetics more than pay2win
at least in pve games other people paying to win affects me only a little, paid cosmetics affects me basically anytime I see another person and they look like a giant light show with fireworks going off while riding in a mini tank.

even in pve games it can affect you quite severely, because the game will be designed to encourage you to pay

They said the exact same thing for Diablo Immortal.

? They didn't say anything in fact when people asked about it they naturally were silent and behaved like those questions never existed.

I mean D4 is 70$ game while Immortal was always created for souless phone users which expect their games being "free"*
No. They made a statement intended to mislead to get positive PR. Then they chose not to clarify that it was a misleading lie until there was a PR disaster.

If you want to debate this further I suggest you start by explaining how a gem that you wear is not equipment.

I am also tired of this idea that paid cosmetics are okay.

Games with paid cosmetics see the majority of the art budget go into making things that only retarded players can access.

It also poisons the game by stripping out the majority of reward motivation and distracts the game design team from doing things that would increase fun.

Cash shop guarantees a worse game every time. No exceptions.

40 minutes leaked footage video still hasn't been taken down, but probably will be soon.

I've played shitloads of Diablo II back in early 2000's; but after watching that leaked video, I felt like Danny Glover from Lethal Weapon. "I'm too old for this shit..."

The animations look feeble and they're compensating with obnoxious screen shakes.

I heard Cain is now the devil and the last boss and they play the Tristram music since that is all they have to work with at this point.
