I'm not sure exactly how to react even at this point, the $70 game will have worse than F2P battlepass rewards and returns.
Wait this game has Klingons now?
I understand we're interpreting their statements differently (which is not a surprise, I think they're trying to be intentionally obscure about this). Well, ayways, we'll see. It's just cosmetics in the premium pass
Sounds dumb. You have to make a character season players likely won't play again just to get to what you actually want to play? That's cosmetics. And the non-cosmetics are in the free part and even if you buy the boosted pass it doesn't let you use the non-cosmetic shit until you've leveled a character up anyway. And on top of that the bonuses listed were small shit to reduce grinding since you can only play seasons after you've played through the game once. The premium / accelerated pass stuff. What? Where? So that's a confirmation, they're going for pay2win. Again.
I agree with that too, honestly. The reasoning seems to be because they'll add new events/quests/mechanics/etc in the seasons (Again, similar to D3 and PoE. And it sounds much like those games where they might make some of the new additions permanent and others will just be temporary) so they want people to play the regular game first before being baffled by extra shit in the seasons but I can't imagine they'll be so outlandish with it that they couldn't just let people dive into seasons. Hopefully they change it down the line since everyone's going to start with vanilla anyway since it'll be a month and a half after launch for when the first season starts (Which also feels dumb to me but I guess they're hoping the servers will be stable by then?) and it does seem stupid to block new players from joining seasons first LATER since seasonal play's usually popular since it's fun to see the new bullshit and have new characters leveling up with you and all that jazz. Which is also why seasons are beneficial to new players so other people are playing new characters too but WHATEVER BLIZZARDSounds dumb. You have to make a character season players likely won't play again just to get to what you actually want to play?
Even if the game doesn't start with seasons, it'll be an annoyance for people who join later.
So it isn't just cosmetics?
Am I understanding this correctly, the battlepass gives you bonuses to XP etc?
Someone please summarise I am not reading a wall of text or watching an hour long video
You don't have to pay for that. Anyone who owns the game has that.If you want help with xp to unlock shit quicker pay 10 bucks.
lmao you are fucking nuts if you think this game is going to be on sale anytime soon
Right yeah, and those are super cheap as we all know and totally aren't rip-offslmao you are fucking nuts if you think this game is going to be on sale anytime soon
It's already given out with nvidia cards.

Yup. Was a tentative wait and see until I played this and the other demo weekend, now it's D1P. Still might not have been if they'd fucked up the cash shop and battle pass shit worse but as it was presented it's fine and I can ignore it. Similarly a lot of the semi-MMO shit I thought would drive me insane but in practice it's been fine, my biggest complaint currently is I don't want to click berries and flowers for crafting materials and I looked into THAT some more today and it looks like even if you ignore it you'll get enough magic berries from doing quests and getting herb-packs that you can upgrade your healing potion, getting more will only matter for crafting elixirs (Which incidentally give a 5% XP boost so even the baby-tier elixir is a stronger temporary XP boost than the first level on the season mastery pass) which CURRENTLY don't feel necessary which is nice. Remains to be seen if the game is balanced so you always need an elixir in late game but if it just comes down to hardcore players preemptively taking one to get a resist for certain bosses then that's ducky. Is anyone here going to buy this?
Yes i pre-ordered the ultimate edition or whatever the fuck it's called. Not gonna play it for some months though probably. Is anyone here going to buy this?
