Does this game really run that badly? Has anyone here tried it on anything even remotely resembling a decent rig?

There aren't many people here playing it because most played the summer slam and thought that being lvl 20 was a representation of the full game . Oh such clowns.

Watched some gameplay. Looks like Divinity: Original Sin except not good. Aliens: Dark Descent looks alot more interesting, as tactical games go.

2. It's not FPS. Since Diablo IV requires an internet connection at all times, and you are playing across platforms by default (unless you disable that), there is a lot of rubber-banding going on. The game itself is smooth.

It's p. clear the guy has a crappy PC. I'm just curious how "smooth" it would play on a nice rig, like I already said.

So one thing I'd currently like to bitch about is having to wait until lvl 60 before you can start upgrading gems into being anything remotely useful. It's kind of annoying that I have a million of the fucking things just sitting in my stash that I can't doing anything with.

Met a lvl 70 dude who I partied up with and he showed me the ropes (no homo) of tiers 3 & 4. Learned alot from him and am doing some crazy shit with my build now. I officially love this game now. I might even go so far as to say it is a true evolution of D2 and the best possible sequel. There's clearly some things that can be improved and they will be. D3 was a giant piece of shit at launch and Blizzard salvaged it into a decent game. D4 is wonderful right out of the gate. The sky is the limit for this game. It has an amazing future ahead of it!

non hd textures install: runs smooth
hd textures: milleage might vary depending on vram and how well system actually runs -> can get stutters

If you for whatever reason liked Diablo 3 gameplay, but really wanted shittiest mechanics from shitty MMO genre, close up camera so all your builds are basically melee, low density maps with fun goals like kill all enemies or escort quests, level scaling, non skippable extremely boring cutscenes, shitty itemization with a lot of class specific affixes with low impact, no overlay minimap, mobile game UI, boring paragon board without any real choices and so limited traiding that it might as well be completely removed from the game then this shit game is for you. Almost forgot always online and battle pass bullshit.

Some valid complaints in there but the level scaling is not a problem later on. That is a non issue if you build your character right. I'm destroying mobs and elites that are scaled with me like they are nothing. It's an early game issue but once you get deep into the upgrading and customization the level scaling becomes nothing.
