People never take into account that millions ontop of millions of people flock to a new Blizzard release and they flood the servers
And by "People" you mean Blizzard, because they fail to prepare for this.

It's not failure, is math. The costs of implementing what is needed do not outweight the benefits. If they would be hit with a wall of chargebacks, stuff would change. But it's obviously not the case.

Eh, only got to play for a couple hours (having a job is lame). I need to see more of the Spiritborn to decide if it sucks or not. As of right now it doesn't feel anywhere near as satisfying to play as the Rogue but I can say that about any character. The Rogue is just too dope. Didn't get to try any of the new side stuff. Just followed the main story. So far it's just more D4. Welp that's my review after playing for a couple hours good night.

By online D4 guide builders new class has a bunch of builds that can do all content while older classes (except for Necro) have way less. Especially Rogue which has 2 builds that work in endgame.

I don't care about that gay minmax crap. The Rogue is the funnest character to play as. Always has been.

It's still failure, and you presented one reason for it. There are also less costly options to deal with it.

A good part of this isn't just the servers getting flooded, but the fact that they are not competent enough to recover from that state.

I started a Barb in new season since I have not played one yet. New skill Mighty throw is supposed to be good.
Leveling up with Whirlwind is painfully, even worse than D2 barb..

I'm enjoying it as much as eating a Big Mac. Spiritborn plays well and the cutscenes are kewl. Shame it's a mmo tho.

My complaints exactly ever since 3. Blizzard are a bunch of fucks. I view the same with any steam game that forces online connection or 3rd party line ubisoft.

Yeah, they basically made it into WoW.

Spiritborn seemed pretty lame to me at first, but once you unlock the spirit bond thing and start mixing and matching them with the various passive synergies, it gets interesting. I think it's a class that does best if you don't stay pure to any one path. Or at least, that's my impression so far.

Imo the main thing they needed to get right with this new campaign is Mephisto. I thought he was the most interesting and well written character in base D4 and they did a legit good job of setting him up as the main villain. They never really did that in the other sequels with anything. Diablo in Diablo 1 will always be the greatest villain obviously but Mephisto is awesome now. They best not fuck it up.
