I don't think there's any way they completely eliminate random loot. They should be able to significantly increase the amount of handplaced loot though.
I'm not sure how much more handplacement they'll really do though, I think they simply like mostly random loot.

I think everyone is sick of seeing codex memes on games already. Not to mention recent developments will also hopefully make people think twice before putting money to this place.

What do you mean, "we"? We didn't come up with the whole Codex trolls thing that Larian put in the game.

Has anyone listed things in D:OS that are related to the Codex?
Codex trolls aside, I saw Andy, the three NPCs in the immaculate towns and...that's about it.

There was hiver too, as well as DU. Although some of those minor cameos were only there for Codex backers (i.e. required entering the Codex backer code), iirc.

But I think you can only talk to him about...I can't quite remember, Games of Thrones I believe, only if you entered the key. Same case with the horse summoning spell.

Ah, didn't realize the mysterious stranger is a codex thing too. It fits in with the rest of the game quite well to be honest.
You have your protagonist complaining the world's most powerful warriors can't cross a rope, why not have a mysterious stranger telling you heroes are the ones who did most damage?

You have your protagonist complaining the world's most powerful warriors can't cross a rope, why not have a mysterious stranger telling you heroes are the ones who did most damage?

DU was the guy who would be right in the middle of nowhere on various maps, ask you questions about your motivation, and respond to whatever you told him with "'kay."

Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Lizardmen are included on their official art. Give us Undead and Orcs and I guess we can be happy.

Sounds like you're not going to back it either way. They developed their engine to be able to work on consoles, it's going to be on consoles.
