On a 101 hour I learned how to zoom in by mashing page up button. Better I didn't.
The faces on hired companions, ahaha
And leather boots that leave characters barefeet

But the best are the heels for females. The robes look sexy enough, but in my fighter party I basically have 2 of

Each time you find a Starstone or use a Bloodstone, The button that teleports you glows and you can unlock stuff. There are 15 Star and Bloodstones AFAIK.

I didn't find any use to Inert stones.

Do any of you guys have a clue about how to get further in the source temple? I'm kinda stuck there, when I got inside.. at the big doors with skulls on them :)
There is a broken Bridge you could jump or teleport there and unlock the door that's almost blocked by rocks and teleport the new discovered room, Also a room that resembles a cell with Lava you could jump or teleport to,
main thing I think you need to do to advance, is thru the candles puzzle

thing is... i found 9 so far and from the 6th forward, each time i found a new one it didnt active the corresponding room in the end of time. I searched the forum for a solution and it seems to be a common bug that has a small chance of fixing itself if you kill the imp... but thats nigh impossible as he is level 26 and Icara also enters the fight, and she is level 20, so its a massacre.

Shit... I have the same problem. Have you by any chance activated the invasion as well? Because I had rooms unlocking all fine before I did that...

I have fireballs raining from the sky, but no invasion, but yes it did seem to happen after that triggered.

Did you try getting rid of the invasion and see if the portals open?

Luculla Forest, north past the desert area with the Spiders there is a ruin with Lava. that is the source of the invasion.

You can't kill the monsters I think, I couldn't find anyway to hurt them, ZixZax said to destroy the Bloodstone with a Tenebrium weapon.

I collected several blood/inert stones while the invasion thing was happening. After I took care of the invasion, I opened several rooms in a row (button wasn't blinking though, I just entered End of Time, exited and re-entered and several times new rooms opened).

the writing isn't Good but it's charming, silly and has heart. Could do with a bit more native-speaker polish like DKS had, and isn't as good overall as it or Dragon Commander, but it works perfectly well for what it is.

This.

Glad I'm not alone in thinking so. Charming is the exact word I was thinking of earlier. It's funny...Larian's logo says everything you need to know about what you're getting into. Not sure why people seem surprised or put off by it subsequently. And some of the writing, as I've said before, has definitely made me chuckle in spite of myself.

I mean, to me this says "Fantasy tropes with a playful sense of humor" eh?

I never even saw the invasion. The imp just mentioned it while I was walking around and I went straight to the place where you resolve it since it was right there.

"I'm amazed at how clueless and impatient modern gamers are, I try hard not to lead them too much, but at times they're just hopelessly clueless anyway."

Nothing to dom with 'modern' gamers. Or even gamers. It;s people, man, it's people. Codexers and Obsidianites think they are better but they are not. They're all shit.

Also, people bahsing the character system are stupid. It's pretty darn good. There are other things to bash that isn't one of them. Could be better but to say it sucks? BULLSHITZ.

ASlso, anyone who thinsk the game is hard are retarted. It isn't Not even close to other games.

Honestly, I think O Sin has way better writing that Divine Divinity did, and when I played it, I actually appreciated that Larian were so unabashedly cliche in DivDiv's writing. It's like all these other fucking game companies have to have grimdark worlds where everything is all switched around and altered to produce this sense that they are doing something original with the fantasy setting: the elves in Dragon Age are subjugated and shat upon, or the races in Elder Scrolls are all different and have different names and "unique," "original" histories and culture. But it's all just trying to polish the same turd; trying to pretend that they're not just a bunch of hacks writing derivative shit that sucks and that will never rise above being useless, half-assed schlock. For the love of Christ, at least Larian can be honest. They can at least enjoy the cliche and shamelessly indulge in it. I almost think that takes more guts and courage creatively to be honest with the fantasy setting and to enjoy the cliche without guilt than to try and pretend you are anything other than a literary wannabe. Genre fiction, especially fantasy, is not where one goes to use their writing talent and creativity to its full effect. And that goes double for writing fucking video games.

So people who complain about Larian's writing can fuck off. Go whack off to your Arcanum disks you fuckstains.

No. They try to go grimdark. They're just not good at it. That's why they throw in the hit or miss 'laughies' because they can't go all the way. Like a typical codexian.

Haven't listened to it myself yet.

Jeff and Christian welcome David Walgrave, Producer on Divinity: Original Sin, to DLC this week to talk about understanding what a game developer does, the EVO 2014 fighting game championships, Raiden joining Mortal Kombat X, Tekken 7 announced, Hearthstone: Curse of Naxrammas pricing info, and more.

Then in The Playlist, Jeff goes a little crazy praising Divinity: Original Sin, which he calls one of the best games of ever. Christian tries to manage the slurping, but Jeff loves loving the throwback CRPG in all of its glory. Christian has some memories of Aladdin Genesis that he's revisiting himself, too.

For Tabletop Time, David talks about destroying his friends at Dominion, and Jeff is excited to play the newly announced Spiel des Jahres winners.

All that, plus YOUR phone calls.

Damn nigga this is some good entertainment. It's like a kid defending his Britney Spears CDs and telling people that they can just fuck off and go listen to Mozart. "OH man he just told me to go back to my high culture, RUINED MAH DAY".

Yup, figured that was the thing. I even had Tenebrium weapons and everythiing, but the invulnerable void deamons threw me off.

BTW, teleporting friendlies into lava is not a hostile action...

Crooked Bee, you aren't trying to scam me or anything?

Probably my favorite example of the game's silly writing so far are the diaries of the great wizard Maradino recounting his childhood "adventures" about building sandcastles and eating rat poison in pompous third person.

I've lost the plot. Lost it a while ago, actually. I explored everywhere I could in Act 2, did the temple of trials, the tenebrium mine, and the lava area. I know there's something I need to do at the Immaculate Cathedral, but the stairs are broken, and it won't let me teleport or throw a pyramid across. I'm rapidly losing interest in the game because it feels like I'm just wandering around aimlessly.

Yeah, a lot of the 'side wriitng' - ie. small unimportant things are fun and get me to chuckle. But, the 'main writing' ala the Chosen Ones tm is not. I don't know why they felt that was needed if they werne't gonna make it better.

I did find a 'funny' non scripted error/bug/wtf scenario. At the church when you fight the Big Bad of the first map he summons up some of the bosses you killed previously (which inofitself is rather lame).. But, anyways, this included the Lave Joined Twin orwhatever. However, I hadn't encountered it earlier and lo and behold it was still waiting for me in the lava pits. HJAHAHA!

One of my favorite encounters was in the graveyard when you got sourrounded by like a billion of those living vbombs. At first I was 'oh shit'... 2 seconds later... I laughed as I cast Rain and all heard as I mopped the lsoers up was 'I cna't exploded, I'm wet'... Shouldn't it be the opposite.. You get wet and then explode? :P

Yes, Volly, talking snowmen prison wardens chasing after rabbits who stole their carrot nose is Larian trying but failing to go grimdark. You would have to literally be retarded (not 'retarted' but full-fledged retarded) to think this.

p.s. Just got home and checked the mail...

Because any game that isn't Dark Spire 2=conversation wheels and third person shooting. If ninnies like Yahtzee complained that Might and Magic X was too atavistic then yes, DOS is "oldschool". Most young people who aren't into CRPGs are only vaguely familiar with silver age CRPGs and know next to nothing about DOS/Amiga/C64/Apple 2 era CRPGs

The main story is uninteresting and not much of a motivating factor. As others have mentioned it's the various settings and characters that keep things entertaining.

Then you have the entire murder mystery with grave digging, mass murder, brainwashing, and all other sorts of 'dark' stuff. Your point just proves my point. They coudln't go all the way. Much like most Codexers.

Eh, it's a fair critique. You can have a middle ground between retard-proof quest compasses and wandering aimlessly. Sometimes there is little to nothing in the way of sending you off in a general direction. For the last two or so hours I've been wandering around the Dark Forest killing a bunch of groups led by named npcs. Who they are, I have no idea -- KS backers maybe? Don't seem to be any quests associated with them.
