About what Grimrock sold. 500 - 600k.
Grimrock seems one niche-tier deeper than D:OS. I'd guess that D:OS would sell more to random unwashed passersby than Grimrock

Given how long it has been a Steam top seller, I'm gonna say somewhere in between 650k-700k

"How about formally announcing these dates instead of being selective about it?"

Fuck off, toolbag. They don't owe anyone a fukkin' "formal (or informal) announcement" of what their vacation time is. Fukkin' idiot.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
I'm super overpowered at level 19 now, but the combat still manages to be loads of fun due to it just being so excellent.
That giant death knight had some cool AI, he teleported Jahan into lava for instakill. Luckily he is very easily knocked down so I just rained boulders on his head to keep him knocked out (with my wizard char's high int, that spell has a cooldown of 1 or 2 turns or so, insanely low for a spell as useful as this)

Why don't you just port him to the lava too?

Raining boulders on him also damages and knocks out his allies around him and makes for better crowd control.
Also I'd have to waste precious APs on moving my wizard chick to a position from where she has lline of sight to the lava, which I can use on area effect spells instead that fuck up all enemies at once.

I think the real question is, is the game really that good, or have we been starved for a real RPG for several years now?

I personally think it's 9.5/10.

He was shit easy and never did that to me 'cause he knew he was outmatched.

The latter. In reality, they have a good foundation to build upon, I'm optimistic, but the game has that mild annoyances that kept piling up and by the mid-game the combat didn't feel rewarding enough for me to bother 'replaying' it all over again.

I'm actually looking forward to replaying it more than anything, since I've had the most fun with character building and combat. Now that I know where everything is I can get the bad writing, crap story, puzzles, and other mediocre aspects over easily, while enjoying what they did right.

Yeah I wish I can just forget the 130 hours i sunk into the game and replay it all over again.
But the static encounters bored me.

After finishing the game, I made a couple of new parties with plans to replay it but the game lacks any real motivation to play through since nothing substantial will change.

Honestly, it's not a game I'm going to immediately replay. I love it, sure, but something about it also tires and annoys me somewhat. Maybe it's the puzzles and/or how convoluted the main quest gets. I don't know. Either way, I do appreciate most of what it has to offer.

Hahah. He summoned the lava but had no AP to teleport in the same turn.
That explains it. My reaction to this is just 'Nice try, Dev.'
Oh yeah, if people haven't discovered yet - you'll definitely unlock a room in Homestead that you'd want to visit at some point.
Re-spec Demon.
No. I'm not saying you should re-spec. That's not the worst broken thing that it can do.
It is willing trades a single un-spent talent pick for 10 ability points.
Meaning you could end up as a super jack of trade by simply skipping all the talent picks.
I definitely skipped a lot of talent picks on my magic knight cause nothing looks remotely useful and instead gave him lots of passive abilities like Leadership, Willpower, Body Building that helped both him and the party better.
