I have a question about the pressure plate puzzle in Hiberheim, in the same area as the wishing well.

"Something seems to have triggered to the right of here". Anyone been able to find out what has triggered and where? I must've searched every inch around that place.

There's 4 pressure plates, the first 2 deactivate the Watcher Statues on each side so you can sneak through without the alarm being raised from the statues. If the statues spot you, you basically fail.
If you start on the left side, you deactivate the statue on the right side, allowing easy access to that pressure plate and in turn deactivate the statue on the left.
I'll leave the rest up to you :)

Anyway, huh, the whole "you get to see the tapestry of time and look at how your actions influence the world" thing was cancelled? Or is it just a feature that will be added later?

I wouldn't mind if people like this were neutered:

And this is how Bethesda ruined an entire generation of gamers.

A question for those who have played to the end; do the state requirements for weapons keep increasing? I'm thinking of giving my witch a few points of dex so that she can use the basic bows, but if I have to keep pumping dex to use any high level bows then it's not worth it. I'm not expecting to be able to use the top of the line gear, but I'm hoping it's still possible to find bows that only require 7-8 dex towards the endgame.

Currently playing the game - it uses directx 9 only, which is a surprise. I have to play on lowest settings on my crappy laptop, game looks like World of Warcraft circa 2004, but plays like golden times :) I hope that engine will be updated to DX 11, so the game will run faster.

Hah, this game has Esperanto in it! I was kind of interested in the idea of constructed languages back in high school, and I noticed one "foreign" character's dialogue looked vaguely familiar. Sure enough:

Considering their producer is a metal dude who knows a thing or two about music, I wouldn't put it past them to be referring to the song.
Fun fact: It was probably inspired by the R.E.M. cover of the song (although it could well have been the original too), which Swen once wanted to include as a short gig with Zombie Jake in Divine Divinity, back there in Aleroth where you put the flower on Jake's grave.

Another fun thing -- for me, that is: I'm taking my time with the game and am still in Cyseal. At one point I wondered where I could purchase Earth magic books for my healer and had to ask around. When I eventually found out, I felt really dumb. :)

Just bought this, game seems fairly fun so far except I can never guess when my characters are going to be electrified when I cast a lightning spell (don't remember what the proper name is). The game doesn't show clear boundaries of pools of blood/water and it drives me nuts. So basically if a character gets hit, there's always going to be a pool of blood under them which means they will always get electrified/stunned if an adjoining pool of water or blood is electrified as well?

Okay. So is this safe to play for now? How long before codex realizes the game is utter shit and massive decline? A month? Two?

Bros, forgive me if someone asked that question already, but here it comes. I want to recruit some henchmen or another companion to my party. Can someone just give me a slight hint where to find 'em? I have only met the warrior woman in the Inn, but I already have a knight and want something more thief-y or wizard/druid like. Help is appreciated!
There's a wizard to recruit in the library (upper floor of Cecils house).

I may not be understanding your question correctly; but if there is water underneath character 1 and it touches water underneath monster A; then electrifying one will electrify the other. Same with oil and burning/poison etc.

Also, I am gonna restart the game. I got to the second major area but I had accidentally wasted points on stuff and didn't like how my two were specialized. It was working well tho. Rangers are definitely fun and magic is sooooo good. Gonna test out a melee/rogue char cuz some of those scoundrel skills looked really cool.

Game iz good, nigga.
It does have a slow start and you need to invest like 5-10 hours to get a grip of it, after that you're fucked, I mean hooked.

Question about a certain source related chest near a certain boss in act 1

the chest near braccus rex called the 'source king chest' is locked. I got the key from braccus but it won't open it. am i overlooking something or does this come later?

Just put the chest in your backpack and take it with you until you get a random drop for a scroll on unlock.

Melee characters are heavy weapon/armor depended. Especially if you don't have a good dagger for your scoundrel, they are only good at CC in stuff. Though they are very good at it :) You can stun, knock down in one turn and charm, blind in next. Blacksimthing and crafting gets you good weapons and helps you upgrade drops. After getting a good dagger/rapier you can one shot poor fuckers from sneak with guerilla talent. Bleeds are useless, avoid like plague.
Warrior types have better time as long as you keep armor high, they can tank like trucks. 2 handers deal massive damage when you have a good weapon. I critted 1000 with whirwind at 16th level and my weapon was only a green which I sharpened and boosted with tormented soul. Heavy armor makes them a bit slow so get some armorer skill and/or cast wildfire on them.

Unlock scroll is very rare, only able to find 2 and they were fixed scrolls lying on tables. Never seen it dropped or sold, haven't seen it as a book too.

Thanks. Also, does anybody know how to use the gold meter properly? The system seems awkward, for example I'm selling 1537 GP worth of stuff and get 1435 worth of stuff in exchange, so I have to take some gold as well, but it's tedious as fuck to first count in your head how much 1537 minus 1435 is, then manually slide the slider to get the right amount of gold. And if the store has like several thousand gold, the slightest movement of the slider counts as hundreds so I end up just taking less just so I can get it over with, [insert stereotypical Jew joke here]
I wish there was a way to automatically balance out the value of the items with the needed amount of gold, or at least to type in the number.

Dunno about Magic Unlock, but Resurrect is a lvl 16 Witchaft spell and has a spellbook. Just for everyone's information.

Damn, this game is great in so many ways. I like how it pushes a lot of stuff forward mechanically, even if the AI is not quite up to the par (but hopefully that can be fixed in a combat rebalance mod). It also feels really polished, surpsiringly so - everything is smooth and there's a lot of attention to small detail in combat, pathfinding, exploration, etc. I guess that additonal KS money helped a lot in that regard. The lack of C&C doesn't bother me, and I actually like the "oldschool", non-coherent character of the setting, which is just a proud, wild mishmash of many things at once.
