INFINITROOOOON!
Give us more news about this beautiful RPG masterpiece! C'mon, why are you slacking Jewy
Your rambling like an escaped, coke addicted monkey from a lab studying the effects of cocaine withdrawal, is a major reason to support an institution like the Codex.

No, he’s just your average ultra based Serbian Übermensch orthodox gigachud spewing incoherent rants. The balkans is the arsehole of Europe. The only sane people from the balkans left long ago because it is such a festering place of ignorance with culture literally 100 years or more behind most of Europe. Many such types here but he’s the best example. Do you see now why they committed such ethnic cleansing? The question is, how could a Serb or Croat possibly look in their mirror or at their peers and feel superiority? I guess being basically the place where the Italian and Russian mobs dump the worlds hazardous nuclear waste into landfills must have had an effect on their intellect.

I really want this to fail but it is Top 3 of Steam Top Seller now

Insane, who are buying this even? I guess BG3 crowd?

It's an EA-owned game with a massive marketing budget right before launch with no competition. I wouldn't be surprised if they hit #2 tomorrow.

Let's see how concurrent players and reviews play out.

Look out Kodex, she has a penis!

What a twist. The whole game we're led to believe Taash is FtM, when it's actually MtFtM.

So it's a man who pretends to be a woman who pretends to be a man.

It's heteronormativity with extra steps.

Wasn't it with Moorcock that the moral revisionism of fantasy began? The first novel, a fix-up of short stories from the 1960s, had themes of incest, sadomasochism, cuckoldry, homosexuality, transvestism, transsexualism and hermaphrodism. Plus a lot of nihilism. And yet Elric, Jerry's multiverse variant, is the basis of both the beloved Codex The Wither and Warhammer...

I think we can safely admit that today's state of fantasy is just another step in the great march away from Tolkien and Howard.
Even Moorcock has more nuance than any of this slop though.

I was just wondering out loud, but I guess some people took my post a little too literally.

The problem is - whether we can really talk about the inevitability of degeneration when we move away from stable moral patterns (Tolkien is an obvious case, but Conan is a character with a strong moral backbone, even if non-Christian). This is a broader issue, isn't it? If straying from orthodoxy is the path to degeneration, it would mean we could never afford to take liberties. We would always have to stick to the basics so as not to wake up one day in a world of chaos. If this is true, human life would be a terrible endeavor.

I was thinking about this because personally I have always preferred Moorcock, even if realizing the imperfections of his writing. Therefore, the question about Moorcock is a question about myself as a recipient - whether, through my liking, I contributed, along with him, to the state we have today.

Let's start from " Make Blight a Thing Again!"

There, done.

This was a proper way for Dragon Age - edgy, bloody, gore.
You’re a degenerate yourself most likely. Stop posting pseudo intellectual drivel with no grasp of philosophy that asks no interesting questions. Youre basically wanking off in here and haven’t made even one semi interesting sentence. The world is a complex place. There are many different reasons for our problems and many actors operating on different principles for different purposes in an ever changing landscape. You can’t simplify things or look for easy answers, because there aren’t any and by doing so you’ve ended up in the cognitive bias trap or binary thinking. You oversimplified everything to fit your narrow view and think that *gasp* degeneracy is to blame for it all. That’s just straight up ignorant. What do you even mean by degeneracy? You brought up strict adherence to orthodoxy as a potential solution. So basically you want to go to a church and follow their instructions and this will somehow save us all from gays or some other thing. If you want to actually understand the world, or people for that matter, I’d stay far away from any church. Magical thinking will only make your irrational connections and cognitive biases worse. Learn to think critically as a starting point and starting questioning some of your assumptions as a step one to not being an idiot.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
Probably bullshit but some fag on steam claimed it sold 100k copies
Bullshit, it sold def. more than just 100k.
Multiple people ITT have warned not to expect a flop like Concord.

This isn't a PvP shooter, a genre populated mostly by high T dudebros. Modern audience DOES exist and it's mostly congregating around RPGs nowadays. As we've seen with BG3 you can make an absolute bundle if you cater to them with kinkiness, romance, endless inane prattle with companions and other assorted faggotry.

In a week or so when the first unfiltered reviews hit I expect Troonguard to drop below 75% on Meta but let's not fool ourselves it's gonna be a catastrophic flop like Concord or Dustborn.

Drown in cringe, my brothers in Christ! With bonus crying at the end:

It’s no wonder BioWare is screwed if this woman is what the community listens to

She is, along with another woman called Ladyinsanity(who also cries while reviewing), are the only big Dragon Age youtubers and these are the kind of people that stayed with the series after 2017 other than trannies. Bioware had these kinds of people in mind during the development of the game. They dont care about gameplay or a story written by people with higher than room temperature IQ, they care about romance dialogues that constantly pampers the players and a story that only Emil Pagliarulo would find good.

I skipped to the end...and...that chick is a therapist? just, holy shit :D No wonder the whole field is a fucking joke.

Said as much over two years ago when this was still Dreadwolf, though I no longer think this is a cynical effort on Bioware's part given how directly it reflects the major preoccupations of key team members. Time is unlikely to be kind to the game's apparent banality.

Humanities should never have entered universities.
The earliest universities are either european guild schools combining a few guilds, or islamic schools, and both included religion as the main thing being taught.
Also all schools at all times taught law, at the very least the law which has to do with the craft you are learing.
That's why I corrected my post soon after posting. Also take this as a tongue in cheek rant, I'm ok with historical reasoning of why something came to pass or not.

It's amazing how everything looks unnatural in this game. Just look at everything this screenshot depicts:

QwzdmHW.png

Is the "male" a thin, malnourished dwarf, who had to shave his beard due to loosing his honor, or something?
Forget that. I still can't get over how all the characters look like they were badly photoshopped into the picture. No shadows and all of them look like they are floating in space. That thing in the middle with the blue manboobs and nipples is so badly positioned on the oversized chair that it looks about to fall off. This is worse than amateur. This is Baby's First Photoshop.

However, my empirical observation is that most humanities graduates pick up little of academic culture, apart from the skill to insult people outside of their circle, by means of scoffing and condescension, (which in turn was how they have been treated by their professors), thinking that this makes them look more educated and hence authoritative.

It's a failure of the institutions that were supposed to teach them a lot more.

before all the propaganda shit, the first think I did notice about the game was the horrible graphics. It's so outdated.
It's a new version of Frostbite, isn't it? Look at facial animations in Battlefield 4 (2013) single player, and you'll see it's not the engine's fault.
