The whole, let's make 'em fat, ugly and indescribably dysgenic stems from one simple fact.
The vidya Jew who creates the games can't stand creating beauty, because on a deep, visceral level he knows he himself is something much lower than garbage.
He is a bugman. A Nietzschean last man. They can no longer contain themselves by merely inserting themselves through writing, they must self insert in every way imaginable.
Collectively, the vidya devs resemble a disgusting, atrocious, Lovecraftian monster screaming from the abyss, and as we all know, take care when you gaze into the abyss for the abyss also gazes into you.
Edit: I feel like I've made this exact post before.

also, one of their things is viewing everything as a social construct, including things like beauty and family.

I finished the game yesterday, and all I can think about is how the final quest featured some really impressive in-engine cinematics, they clearly invested a significant chunk of the budget into their production. I can’t help but wish Owlcat had even a fraction of that budget to create proper final assault cinematics in Rogue Trader.

Anyway, I’d rate this game a 6.5/10. The Frostbite engine really shines here compared of sea of UE5 games that stutter and look like shit, the game runs super smoothly, and the environments look amazing. Gameplay is pretty average, but it’s better than Inquisition since they finally stopped pretending to be an RTWP game and fully committed to action combat.

The writing, though, is the weakest part, and Taash is by far the worst. Like, who brings up their gender identity issues in the second meeting? Who the hell starts a conversation like that? I'm not half the bigot of average codexer and I found Taash insufferable and whiny.
All the companions are pretty forgettable except for Lace, she stands out because she’s part titan, and whoever animated that dwarf knew exactly what they were doing. The way she swings her hips every time she talks? Yeah, that definitely got my engine running. :bounce:

Skinwalker should add you twice to the fucking list.
I literally did:
In my defense I'm currently depressed and I thought clapping some dwarven cheeks might help.

Already 40% off on ps5, 6 weeks since release? Mainstream gaming media seemed to be having problems contacting the modern audience

RPG of the year, people.

1. Dragon Age: The Veilguard

Developer: BioWare
Platforms: PC, PS5, Xbox Series X

Ten years since Dragon Age: Inquisition, it's been a tumultuous time for BioWare following missteps with Mass Effect Andromeda and Anthem. Yet despite delays and high-profile exits, Dragon Age: The Veilguard is nothing short of a triumphant turnaround for the celebrated RPG developer. With a fantastic cast of memorable and complex characters, it's not just about picking who you want to romance but being there to help them through their own problems, which is going to prove important to save the world from threats even greater than the Dreadwolf. It may not be without its divisive changes, from a focus to full-on action-based combat to a more linear approach to level design, but when it comes back to what matters most, its characters and the choices you make, this is still very much Dragon Age to its core, and a comeback story for the ages.

Those mother fuckers can't be honest and accept the reality of their self-being, and you expect them to do so with the shit they use to spread their political views?

The UK sales are overall very low. If you are out of the top 3 you sell like thousands of copies. 12th place might be extremely low unit wise.

Bros, the game is 40% off 1.5 months from release.

And you still have people thinking it's a financial success.

These people live in actual fantasy worlds.

Um, sweetie, it continues to be a massive success for BioWare and EA alike with them reporting it will have made back at least 10% of its cost by the end of the year!

Oh it's a financial success, alright. Just not a success for them, but a success for me.

Did you short EA stock or something?
Isn't Veilguard's success of this magnitude a win for all of us?
