playing on Hard and this is clicking with me. combat feels awesome and is more about executing a flawless victory. I've learned that going off the been path is not impossible but highly ill advised. there's a certain tension that only exists in Hard mode. I tired Normal for a bit and most of the combat there felt like checking off boxes off a list.

I'm finding starting over fresh on Hard annoying myself, lots of instant 1-shots and waiting for the pawns to do stuff (because they can't get one-shotted). I'd kinda like a mode where enemies are buffed enough to 2-3 shot me and to have way more knockdown/stun resist than normal (actually having to use a shield with a fighter instead of stingering everything is nice) without something brushing up against my leg killing me. It's not a level scaled game AFAIK so I guess I'll get there.

Feel the same way as Mozg.
I'm pretty sure that I just got one shot by a rat.

Can't bring myself to turn the hardmode off tho.

Hence why I'm hoping for a mod that tunes it a bit if at all possible. Like 50% more damage taken instead of the 100%, including for your Pawns and removing the double XP, DP and insane amounts of gold. The rest of the changes are good.

I just began the game, bought a $300 armor and it just disappeared before I could equip it. Sad stuff
Same here man. I spent my full $2000 and it all just vanished.
Throwing real money at your screen doesn't work. Try using your hard-earned gold!

Found a lovely broken location... Jump down from a cliff to surprise a bunch of hobgoblins. Direwolves, Snow Harpies and a friggen Manticore join the fight instantly.

Still won, of course :smug:

Climbed the manticore, restored stamina and hacked it's heads off, while pawns got wiped out. Can't get damage while hanging from the right spot, even if it rolls.

I can see the pawns do not level with you. Only your main does.

Whats the difference between the pawns inside and outside the rift? What happens with the equipment given to the pawns?

So far so good, game is quite fun, I hope is not too grindy, looks very mmoish.

None as they are both picked randomly from a table and/or the internet, the rift is just a lobby where you can filter pawns and summon your friends'.

Shit keeps disappearing when I buy it. Sometimes it reappears later. Are there level requirements on gear or something that I don't know about? (I know about class reqs.) I'm still waiting for those cheap boxer shorts I bought right at the beginning.

Anyone notice like 80% of the pawns are women? And by majority effect, are usually better built than male pawns? At least in the early game anyway.

Not a complaint, just an observation. Also: Zombra's pawn is a zombie waifu. Goddammit Zombra.

so what the fuck. how come Capital weapons do less damage than basic swords but cost upwards to 300K? Do they scale better when upgraded?
