mid-teens wiz probably has access to tier 2 anyways.
Centaurs are not very good t2 imo.

Except the whole discussion is about the early part of the campaign, when the player doesn't have access to T2 units or spells from the stronghold (Well, you might have T2 mercs).

but you wrote to kill the ogres you need mid teens wiz. But by the time that happens you usually can have t2 already. That is a very long time.
Ogres are t3 as i recall, so i see no way to kill them early. I dunno i might be missing something

I'm not burned out. I am just scared it will be a waste of time.
Not only because i am used to having everything but because the sequel is coming out fairly soon.
Eh yeah that is a problem, i am having that problem myself.
But campaign has some cool stuff, for instance
you can get invaded by an enemy rival, and when you fight on your own shard, you get massive bonuses, like seeing the whole map, and getting all start up perks (which you unlock trough conqering shards) like +500-600 gold, gems items units etc. *You can normaly activate those by using astral energy but here you get all for free*
And there is that added challenge you must play with what you have. For instance in my current game i have no building which to reduce corruption with, and am currently in deficit, just cause i have too many territories.

Eh I guess ill stick to custom for now :-/
I read somewhere that the new campaign is going to be less long. A good thing in my book seeing that the game has high scores

You can easily get into the mid teens on campaign maps, the problem that I'm bringing up, however, is that you cannot recruit T2 units or learn T2 spells in your stronghold early on in the campaign. So, while you have ample T2 slots, both for spells and units, you won't be able to use anything beyond T1 unless you've gotten lucky with some drops.

I found the mass plague scroll in a shop, cost was over 6000 gold so I'm not sure if its viable to buy them.
rmb on scroll and chek for what resources are you pay for.discover them-and it costs much more less.

Do I need some special skills to form an alliance or is it about those quests?
diplomacy helps sometimes,but in generally-no
And I really don't get this whole 'you need veterans' spiel. Maybe when playing order, maybe in multiplayer.
playing only solo heroes?good luck on overlord difficulty
And could someone spoil a bro? I'm curious what happens if you succeed at certain random (or so it seems) thingy.
There's an event when pimmortal with that tutorial portrait seeks refugee in player's castle - anyone knows what happens if you win the fight?
no big difference compared to loose the fight.a few words only.

you dont waste your time, sequel is the same game,so now you just raise your skill before multiplayer arrives.

The reason i am trying the campaign is because of something i actually consider a design issue (in custom games).
You can get terrible starts in custom games which fuck you over. I LIKE a challange but i dont like my entire session determined by this one random aspect

In the campaign the same can happen of course but its just one of many shards. It will force me to endure it.

just one warning. Be extra careful when you get invaded you can LOSE the ENTIRE campaign if you loose that battle. So take it seriously. And it is iron man so...

So I finally picked this up and oh man, it's so much fun. Really enjoying the game so far.

A question though bros, what stat/buildings are responsible for army HP regen during exploration/rest? I could swear the regen went WAY faster in the tutorial, now I seem to generally get 1 HP per turn back. Or do I need to carry a healer around? Seems that might've been the only major difference.

There are multiple buildings that increase healing rate. Healers also increase it. Otherwise it's 10% per turn (although heroes heal more depending on their health)

Ah, so that's what it was, thanks! Doesn't look like I can build the actual regen buildings yet (even the Ritual is locked out on this shard, bah), so guess I'll have to toss out an archer from the crew and get a healer instead.

I have alliance and i destroyed the other opponent. And the fairy offered me to go to war, or cast lots.
What does cast lots actually means?

Huh, turn 34 or so and it seems I've just won. A lil bit anticlimactic (and a lil bit soiled by text not fitting in its windows), but a win nonetheless.

Speaking of which, gentlemen, when you encounter text that is cut or doesn't fit a window, please drop me a note.

The game runs in WINE (with winetricks ddr=gdi), but has rather sluggish performance. Which is odd for a 2D game that uses allegro for drawing.

Just had a golden opportunity - quest from a scroll shop for a summon phoenix scroll in exchange for... spider egg. Unfortunately at this point the game was already won by me. But still, that is a game breaker right there. Didnt find any reliable ways of obtaining spells. Also finished that shard with two level 4 scrolls in treasury - invulnerability (+20 resistance and def for few turns) and mass something I think slow.

So how does the carrying over shit work? The stuff in your treasury gets carried over?
