b) just a less intelligent being, whom apparently thinks he/she is not.
cos english is not my native, ist not so interesting to spar with you,but
go hotseat and die by one enemy snipers doubleshot
and even better,sleep by enchanter

for others, who not so boorish,i give an example

its common fight for 13-level hero, and at this stage buffs/extra rank2 rules.its cheap and safe, compared to more direct damage and less army.

That 6 minotaur fight is awesome, i can't wait until i unlock higher lvl spells in my campaign, currently my main magic tricks outside pewpew scout wannabe are fatigue and web which btw is awesome.
Does using chaos spells hurt your karma? I really really like burn ammo but i don't want to become evil just because of it-

So i just learned that my unbeatable tank warrior with all tanky skills and the best armor available at the time isnt so hardcore when fighting dryads :-/
I had a warrior, not high lvl about 7-8 but enough to slap tier1 units around, so i send him to fight 3-4 slugs thinking it would be an easy fight. 2 slugs dead the rest at half hp i think this battle is over.

Then i click end turn.

22 POISON DAMAGE!?!?

Hero died won the battle but from then on i avoid slugs like the plague.

Holy shit this game is huge. My only problem is that it is a bit hard on the eyes. Not the graphics themselves, but the resolution and tiny text..

I have 1920x1080 IPS and computer set to be able to play Japanese visual novels with proper graphics, and I don't have problems. As long as you are using full screen mode, the text isn't tiny.

Got to agree with our weaboo friend here, I use 21 (or maybe 25 dunno) display and the game looks just fine. Quite good really, amazing how good it looks for a one man production.

Slugs are amazing tanks and crappy shooters. Lot of hp and poison skin, enough to be a real danger even to highest level heroes.

only summon chaos spells affects karma,if we a talking about rank 1-2 spells
i avoid slugs like the plague.
slugs were not presented in original eador.community immediatly starts whining how strong solo warrior is.then developer create monsters that counter solo warrior and add slugs in the game.

GREAT STUFF !!!

Game can be tweaked to run faster to spend less time to watch unit movements and such things.

In main folder there is file Eador.cfg. Within there are useful settings. This works fine for me right now:
Refresh delay (default 40): 25
Poll mouse delay (default 25): 20

Much faster and responsive.

Good tweak. Much needed. Thank you.

I noticed commander may be the most op hero in the game. But it is not beginner friendly. The main problem is you can get fucked by not having strategic resources nearby making building lv2 creatures impossible if not very hard. You can try to counter this by spending a lot of astral energy for that early gold rush. Since untill you get lv2 creatures you cant attack outer circles. However once you start roling out with lv2, and especially if you get few key spells, you become the wrecking ball of death and destruction. Where your thugs are close to strength of an warrior combined with sorcerers or monks.

You can counter strong warrior with sorcerers. Casting vulnerability spell few times ( it stacks)

I bought the game like everyone recommended and I was enjoying it immensely till it crashed.

Now every time I run it, the sound effects are "buzzing" and the game crashes frequently. Anyone else see this?

are you talking about this?

:D
contains spoilers (about boring starting defence tactics for example)
..
guys , if you think that such videos is inappropriate for this topic-just say it
I dont want to watch that, since the magic of the game is finding shit on your own. But yeah it is definitely spoiler then.
I was more thinking about rushing to lv2 creatures and just steamroll AI with superior units. While using barbarians and healers for gold mining.
Obviously if you get fucked by terrain, for instance surrounded by forests(low income). Then playing a commander might be impossible.

Part of fun in Eador is that many builds are viable.

At first, I played with tough and expensive, crossbowmen and swordsmen. They cost a lot, but didn't die so I rarely needed to regroup. Now I'm running with barbs and archers mostly. A shaman is a great supporting unit too, especially when I'm against a tough single creature, like the Executionier on holy lands.
Haven't gone too far, but from tier2, horsemen are fun, while horse archers seem mediocre.

I love this game

it is a pity that there is no separate topics for question/discussion/and so on

it is impossible, since you cant get the money needed for fort+dwelling+side building you need. You just dont have an economy for it, if you are surrounded by forest tiles. And especially if there aren't any strategical resorses nearby.
The problem with commander is that he cant attack 2nd circle of territories without the lv2 creatures

how can i reply for this..whithout video link?:)
i usually play at minimum resources and dungeons settings,so weak income is a common situation. i use commander/scout/wizard equally(warrior is boring, sorry).and didnt see big difference.well, that pewpew guy maybe a little easier..but only a little.perhaps our opinions coincide later?

I just nearly lost a game because I couldn't afford my ever expanding empire. Three commanders with armies, 1200 gold income with ~700 lost in corruption alone. Fuck.

Actually province income is low compared to what you find in dungeons so you can fuel your economy with adventuring and it works. Especially thieves guilds are a gold mine yielding up to 600 gold each, completing low difficulty quests from the crystal gives 400-500 gold too. If you have a plains province with 20 gold income one quest is then 20-24 turns of pure income. Not bad.

Free Settlements are pretty easy to take, even at T3. Have fun trying to take any other type of settlement, though. A T3 goblin swamp (With hidden black lotus) on my current game has two trolls, two slugs, two basilisks, and a ton of high level goblins, half of which have agility. Needless to say, my level fifteen scout->scout got his ass handed to him.

There are provincial buildings that reduce corruption. Unless you're early on in a campaign game, in which case you are, sadly, fucked.

Adventuring is fine for *expansion*, but it's risky to rely on it to pay the wages of your troops.
