Is there anywhere to buy/farm standard upgrade materials?
Is there a trick to getting ontop of the tall rocky plateau that is in the bottom left part of the Liurnia of the Lakes map? The cliffs are very steep and there doesn't seem to be a slope going up, nor a horse jump spring.
I tried circling it everywhere, checking the bottom of the cliffs for tunnels boring upwards but didn't find any of those either.
Is that place gated behind a teleport or game progression?
you can get Miners Bell Clearing (x) as Item. Give it to the two shop maidens in the hold and they start selling the stones. the first one you get in Raya Luceras Crystal Dungeon, dont know about the others
Radahn down after an ungodly number of attempts - still fewer than Margit took, though. Took me long until I realized I could summon all NPCs at once. Not that any of them were particularly great on their own, wolf boy still did most of their work. Phew...
Some protips:
Employ your horse well. Use it to lure his attacks away from the NPCs and then run in with a leap attack when you get the chance. Dismounting at speed will allow you to leap over his shockwave attacks if you ride towards him and dismount at the right time.
Going for the head stab is probably not worth it when he gets staggered - the timing is tight, and the damage isn't amazing. Most likely better to just poke at his feet/horse.
Once he summons his meteors, I just didn't get close to him until he launched them. You may wish to make use of weapon buffs at this point. Fire seemed to work well.
As for ashes of war, I found the phalanx daggers to work great since they deal good stagger damage and you'll have plenty of time to cast them while the boss is flailing about. The damage windows are tight so you want all the bonus damage you can get.
HAHAHA, i killed the Tree Sentinel, at SL1.
I figured out there was no point sparring with it once he started using those shield attacks. The hit box is just too random, so i just kept my distance and got close only when he did his regular attacks. Took a bit but it actually went down quite easily that way.
My game was running fine and then they patched it.
Yeah, you spend an hour earning the amount of runes you'd get in twenty minutes and a weapon you'll be able to use in another 20 hours at the earliest.HAHAHA, i killed the Tree Sentinel, at SL1.

It's always nice to witness peek autism.
But if you:It's about the challenge obviously, not the loot.
Did you really overcome the challenge?kept my distance and got close only when he did his regular attacks
you must be level 1Just lost 20k+. Oh god, losing souls hurts so much in this game.
Console peasants vs PC chads who can easily remap any key.
Oh shoosh, I was able to turn it off. I can't surprise fuckers anymore but it's a trade off I'm willing to make. That accidental crouch shit was single handedly destroying the game for me.
The fact you have to hit two buttons to switch from sword and board to two handed is also hampering on combat performance. Even if my finger memory adjusts the delayed effect is still annoying.
I understand the need to try something new but a lot of the shit they added to this game seems to fall into the "if it isn't broken, don't fix it" territory.
We didn't need to crouch for sneaking, we didn't need to jump, we didn't need open world. We only got those things because DS3 2.0 which is what this might have been without those changes would have been a bit much even for a Japanese company.
Got to Raya Lucaria. The game runs like molasses now. Not sure if it's the area or today's patch. It's not just low fps, the movement speed of animations and everything going on slows down too. Never had this before over ~50 hours of playtime.
Went to fight the dragon next to the key and I had 24-25 fps for most of the fight...
If this persists, I can't play the game. There was this Boreal Knight type of fucker next to the Lucaria main gate when I went back there, I can't dodge this shit at 30 fps with half a second of input lag.
Fucking FromSoft, man. How can you make the best game in years and years and shit all over it like this?
Are we playing the same game? I feel like almost every time I loot something new it's either a spell (INT) or a weapon with an INT requirement. Is it just me or From heavily favors faith this time around?
Faith seems to be a major stat in a lot of equipment and spells I come across in the game. I think they definitely leaned into it in Elden Ring. Thematically appropriate, in a way.
